Is Obama Stupid, an Israel Hater, or Both?

I was pondering this question as I shook the snow off of my BBQ grill cover last night.  I guess his ignorant Israel pronouncement just came naturally to him...

Marinated in Reverend Wright's Church of Jew Hating, as well as academic America-loathing third-world victimology, Obama's call for Israel to retreat behind indefensible borders was not surprising. He knew nothing about foreign policy when he assumed office, and he's apparently learned nothing about it since.  Not surprising since he is surrounded by pseudo intellectuals just as ignorant as he is.

What will this inept man do next?
Unilaterally return Texas and the American Southwest to Mexico?  Think that's funny?  We took that territory in a war, just like Israel took the territory they now hold.  Only Israel did it because the nest of rats and snakes that surround her attacked the Jewish state, upon her UN-sanctioned birth, again in 1958 and in 1967, when finally Israel had enough and carved buffer zones out of the asses of the militarily inept belligerents.

Stupid International Meddlers Drew this Untenable Map

Who the hell thought this would work?  And what Jew haters gave the City of David to the Muslims?  This partition, drawn up by pointy-headed anti-Semites, was doomed from the start.  It's an unworkable  monstrosity.  I ask the Jew-hating liberals in this country, how would you like to live in an hour-glass shaped country, only 6 miles wide at the narrowest point?

This is an abomination, just like the president's arrogant, ignorant speech.  Jerusalem synagogues and churches were shuttered under Muslim control.  Under Israeli stewardship, all religions worship in peace, punctuated only by the violent eruptions of blood-lust cultists of the religion of pieces.

The Age of Stupidity
We are in danger.  Obama has ushered in the Age of Stupidity.  Slap our friends, embrace our enemies is his policy.  Saudis spend billions stoking virulent wahibbism here in the US and around the world.  Obama studiously and callously ignored young Iranian protesters being slaughtered in the streets, as he now ignores Basher Assad systematically killing protesting Syrians.  Meanwhile, he half-asses it in Libya.

Nobody can be this dumb and inept.  I shudder to think of the alternative...

Elections have consequences. Obama won the Presidency. He is our President. Not saying that this shouldn't be an issue in the 2012 campaign. Sure it should be.

But until then America needs to support the President and this policy. EVEN IF IT IS WRONG!

To do less makes one a traitor!

  3. Anon, put down the koolaid and bong and step away from the PC. This President is wrong 99% of the time. Thats a uber failure. If he thinks he is going to peace talk his way in to the hearts and minds of radical muslims then he is not as smart as everyone on the left claims he is.

Silver, I sure this President's foreign policy is the same as Hamas, ending Israel existence. All the while ignores Iran, Syria, Muslim Brotherhood, etc.

I linked to your essay in my post today. See "additional reading" at the bottom of my post (also crossposted to Infidel Bloggers Alliance).

  6. Yes, I'm sure Obama is anti-semitic and wants to destroy our only ally in the Middle East.

I think we sometimes forget that this is all politics, and rarely do politicians say something and expect it fully to be taken to heart or implemented.

He realizes that the whole issue is going to be a stalemate, and the only way to break it is to throw in some support to the Palestinians. He knows that Israel will never give up that much, but they have to give up something if they want this to at all be resolved.

  9. Yes Jack, it is politics, petty partisan politics, for which Obama throws gasoline on a volatile situation. He is a small, hollow man.

This will encourage the Islamists, and we will be seeing many more border incidents and "aid ship" confrontations.

Obama has just emboldened our enemies.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I don't think this will embolden them, seeing as how he condemned Hamas as radicals. He also made the clear stance that we won't tolerate killing people in these conflicts.

This is not partisan politics, this is him trying to get the ball rolling in the Middle East to stabilize the region. That's not a goal that is particular to blue states only.

  11. You give the President too much credit, Jack.

This is all about him. I listen to the foreign policy chatterers, his middle east policy (such as it is) is in tatters, with Mitchell quitting (who knew he was still on the job?)

This bold gambit is all about him, for he has no team in place and no plan. They are winging it, like they do everything else.

Time will tell. I stand my my prediction of emboldened Islamists authoring more "incidents" with Israel.

  12. I'm not giving him any credit. I'm simply going off of the entirety of his speech. It's easy to take the Israel thing out of context when you ignore everything he said before it, and everything he said about Hamas being radicals that need to go.

As with any policy that is only days old, I'm taking the pragmatic non-partisan approach and waiting to see how it turns out. We have to remember that we're on the outside looking in, and we don't have all the facts at our disposal. Nor do we have insight into their minds to know exactly how they're going to play all of this.

“I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Sitting in the Oval Office doesn't automatically exempt an individual from being a domestic enemy.

My message to Israel? Tell Barry to go bite himself. Actually, that's my message to everyone, everywhere.

  15. I don't believe the man is "stupid" I am convinced he knows exactly what he is doing. Destroy the Israeli alliance with the United States, eradicate the state of Israel and then join in with Muslim radicals. Then force people to embrace the Islam.

Okay, maybe that is too far-fetched. I do believe he is a moron and incapable of comprehending what is to deal with foreign policy.

He is NOT president of the world, even though, he believes himself to be.

We must unite and pray for Israel.

    ReplyDelete
  16. So do you think he's stupid or don't you?

Are any of you looking at this objectively from a strategic standpoint?

What would Obama stand to gain from "destroying," our best ally in the Middle East? The goal is to stabilize the region, and we can't do that without resolving this conflict between Israel and Palestine. That issue will never be resolved until ths stalemate is broken.

  17. I wonder if all those New York Jews who helped elect Hillary Clinton to the US Senate want their money back. It would have been better to send that money to Israel, so that they could buy ammo ….

No, Obama isn’t dumb. He knows exactly what he is doing and it has nothing to do with “Middle East Peace.” Go ahead and shudder; and listen to your instincts.

As to anon’s inane comment, I will not support a president who is driving this country into the canal. I too took an oath —to support and defend the constitution, not a politician.

  21. Somewhere, something or someone is sitting back laughing at us.

Palestine and Palestinians are a distinctly British romantic invention from the turn of the 20th century.

It has been Canaanite, Philistine, Israelite, Persian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Rashidun, Umayyad, Abbasid, Fatimid, European Crusader, Malmuk, Ottoman, Egyptian, Ottoman, British, and Israeli... it has never been Palestinian.

Prior to the creation of, and in opposition to, the British Mandate sanctioned by the League of Nations the peoples of the region self-identified as Syrian Arabs.

The biggest joke is that those Palestinian natives, not immigrants, are genetically more closely related to the native Jewish population than anyone else.

That said, the existence of a Jewish state is a fait accompli short of a nuclear holocaust initiated by Ahmanutjob or some other Islamist fanatic. You can't go back to the pre-1967 borders any more than you can go back to the pre-Ottoman borders, or pre-Roman borders.

The fact that your grandfather fled in 1948 gives you no more right to return to the old homestead than I have to return to the old homestead in Donegal my ancestors fled in 1848.

Get along, exterminate each other... your choice. It's certainly not worth one drop of American blood or one American dollar... it's certainly not worth the 2 Billion in Jizyah the Obamacile seems to be willing to pay.

    Just my two fils

  22. oh yes Finntann, there are lots of people laughing at you wackos! President Obama said NOTHING different than Clinton or your fav cowboy GW Bush, Bwahaaaahaaaahaaaa! Educate yourselves PLEASE, this is so embarrassing!

    ReplyDelete
  23. So Sue, what makes you think I like the progressive Bush any more than the progressive Obamacile?

The whole problem in the middle east, and pretty much world wide is directly attributable to you nanny staters sticking your noses where they don't belong. An American socialist progressive is not much different than a British or European socialist progressive. Oh, don't put salt on that, wait that's not your country, this is your country, let me fix that map for you. It's your ignorance, arrogance, and guilt manifest in your archaic "white man's burden" that is manifestly the direct cause of most of these problems.

America has no national security or other vested interest in either the Israeli or Palestinian problems. You can't assuage years of guilt over decades of arms sales to the Israelis (Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton...see I can rattle off names of presidents too) by suddenly reversing position and supporting the Palestinians. Your morals, liberalism, and government are flat broke...

So what exactly again is the difference between a Republican and a Democrat?

  24. Eric Golub over at the Tygrrrr Express had a similar take on the recent Obama speech and the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation: http://www.tygrrrrexpress.com/2011/05/obama-attacks-israel-will-any-liberal-jews-stand-up/#comments

I think you guys are being petty again. Here was my take on the Tygrrrr's (and now your) opinion:

"... The Fatah-Hamas reconciliation is, very possibly, good news for everyone. Netanyahu, you, and the WT are making a big mistake on this. The deal is a result of the Arab Spring. The Palestinians are sick of the losing “martyr” game. Maybe - just maybe - this could be the beginning of a non-violent, realistic move toward the Two State Solution. You should, I would think as a relatively sane person, be happy about that.

Now, of course, there are some Palestinians and Israelis (and as usual lots Jewish conservatives from the American diaspora), who are unhappy with this. Perhaps what’s really bothering you is the possibility of this working - of a non-violent, civil movement actually creating a Palestinian state. That’s unfortunate, because it would reveal a side to the neocon argument that is more than a little unseemly. I assume that is not your thinking.

... Obama said the same thing (for the first time out-loud, which was refreshing for an American President to do) that we’ve been privately saying to Israel for 40 years. (that the 67 borders were a starting point for the geographic boudaries of a Palestine)

President Obama has the high moral ground. He just recently showed you could kill the world’s most wanted terrorist without invading nations or lobbing missiles in the vicinity of innocent people - or torturing, or hiring mercenaries, or getting into bed with kleptocratic-huntas and crazies. Not bad. That’s a refreshing change, huh?

And he’s employed these tactics more than once, ya’ know. The President also said Israel has every right to have a defensible territory - that the Palestinians must lay down there arms.

I have no idea whatsoever what you’re complaining about here.

I know you’re worried about Israel, and I worry too, but this seems like good news to me. I don’t understand your argument here."

And I don't understand yours either.

  25. It's very disheartening, this whole thing. Have you seen the Christian sites which will be "half" "Palestine" and half Israel?
FinnTann is right: how can Palestine 'go back' to where it never was? They're there, these people, to scratch Israel's scab, compliments of Saudi Arabia, in my opinion....Terrible.
What's really humorous is that Obama and his pals are so naive as to think that if borders did go to those of 1967, suddenly Arabs would be SO HAPPY with Jews! AS IF!
It was Golda Meir who suggested there will only be peace when Arabs love their children more than they hate Jews. WHat a horrible indictment and doesn't it seem like that's the truth?

Silver, that is the dumbest thing you've ever written.

And no - you do. You do it by supporting the Hawks, and Big Oil, the MIC, the neocons, with you're actions and votes. YOU DO.

No liberal anywhere supports the illiberal regimes of the Middle East in any way.

That you guys see the Hamas-Fatah reconciliation as a bad thing shows just how psychotically cynical you are about the Obama administration. If this happened while Bush was President, you'd be applauding all this.

    I call shenanigans!
