Breakfast News Burrito

ffffound.com

You can have that with spicy red socialist sauce, green environmental chiles, and a side of blue conservative pancakes.  Oh and don't forget a big centrist cup of joe!*

Here are some news links I collected this past week but didn't blog about...

What are those inscrutable communists up to?

The Colorado State Patrol finally did the right thing and cleared out the urine-soaked pot smokers who were infesting the grounds of our golden-domed capitol.  Zuccotti Park in New York remains a socialist sewer, much to the consternation of  frustrated business owners who used to make money there before the creeps and freeloaders moved in and scared all the business away.

Matt Labash, an observant writer at Weekly Standard, infiltrated the Occupy Wall Street Proletariapalooza and survived to tell us about it.  His report from the communist encampment at Zuccotti Park, Eyewitness to History,  is an entertaining must-read.

On that same subject, I agree with George Will's latest column:  Here's to a Long Life for Occupy Wall Street.  Conservatives have the tea parties, who tend to vote Republican.  The left has the stinking freeloaders protesting having to pay for stuff, and the Democrats have already thrown in with them.  We should look forward to that contest going national.

And in other fun News…

... The Vice President threatened to rape and murder more people if congress failed to pass Obama’s jobs bill...

... Obama Fights The Lord's Army, with Sarah Palin tweeting, "I told ya so!"

Saudis say Iran must 'pay the price...'

... and offer to hold Uncle Sam's coat while we do the oily dictator-kingdom's dirty work.  Again.

Finally, some humor, because we need it...

- If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes?

- If a pig loses its voice, is it disgruntled?

- If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

- When someone asks you, A penny for your thoughts, and you put your two cents in, what happens to the other penny? Or do you get change?

- Why is the man (or woman) who invests all your money called a broker?

- Why do croutons come in airtight packages? It's just stale bread to begin with.

- Why is a person who plays the piano called a pianist but a person drives a race car not called a racist?

- Why are a wise man and a wise guy opposites?

- Why do overlook and oversee mean opposite things?

- If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, tree surgeons debarked, and dry cleaners depressed?

Have a good week!

  1. This may be one time that the Iranian government is telling the truth. See what judge Andrew Napolitano has to say:

  2. And, of course, Biden's stats were wrong and rape's gone down in the time period he cited...
The threats are amazing, aren't they?

As for Iraq; the fact that they're sending money to Iran to help Assad in Syria says a LOT, doesn't it. It says so much about our years there and none of it's really good, is it.
I think about the woman with her purple thumb and how pleased she looked to have voted. Is it all gone now? How do their people feel? Has it been made another Vietnam now with our pullout?

    -------------

It sure does. A complete waste.

So next time they start singing the song about the U.S. military being a force for "freedom and democracy", listen more carefully.

  4. Keep voting Silver. Those who desire a quick weakening of capitalism could ask for nothing more than Herman Cain.

  5. "Those who desire a quick weakening of capitalism could ask for nothing more than Herman Cain."
Obama's record shows you've mentioned the wrong guy in your comment, Ducky.
Cain created jobs throughout his career.
Obama has created nothing but a better golf swing for himself.

  6. Funny! that picture of "Biden the Blonde" reminds me of a story connected to the Headmaster's secretary in a boarding school where I once taught long ago. She was a classic obstructionist. Whatever request you made, however small, however polite, however reasonable she thought her role was to deny it. This Cerberusian creature never failed to accompany her curt refusals with a ritual baring of neat rows of glaring white, expensively capped teeth -- a gesture presumably intended to mollify her victims. It never did. Her false show of amicability looked more like a wolf baring its fangs than anything resembling a friendly smile.

My supervisor, a woman of great character, with high intelligence and a wicked sense of humor once said after I in an effort to play Mr. Niceguy had tried to make excuses for the secretary, "NONSENSE, FT! that woman is all teeth and no brains."

  7. The most interesting aspect of the Zucotti Park situation is the way various "arms" of the communications media choose to report on it.

The New Yorker Magazine -- an avowedly left wing publication for all its elegant, tediously erudite prolixity -- portrays it as a righteous crusade conducted by clean, wholesome, idealistic, public-spirited youths. The New York Times appears equally sympathetic and supportive -- of course.

Naturally, the right wing press would have us believe the OCCUPY WALL STREET crowd is nothing but a collection of filthy, degenerate, drug-infested, violence-prone, ne'er-do-wells who've been paid by cynical manipulators to foul up the engines that drive satanic capitalism in its ruthless quest to deny the masses their rightful heritage.

As Pilate said, "What is truth?"

How could we hope to know with nothing but heavily biased, agenda-driven reports to go by?

Ducky, the U.S. military is a force for the application of power, you want "freedom and democracy"? Talk to State.

As far as OWS goes, it's obvious they're on the wrong street. They need to march from Wall St. to Madison Ave and get themselves a coherent message.

    Although "Mulligan" could possibly work.

    Cheers!

Couldn't agree more except for the implication that the State Dept. is worth much.

  10. Silverfiddle, are you buying this idiocy about Iran using a failed used car salesman and the drug cartel which they know is filled with informers to carry out a pointless assassination that would be an act of war?

Totally out of character for Iran. Totally in character for the FBI to create one of these scenarios to mobilize the suckers.

Really, you spent time taking this seriously

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ducky: Of course I don't take it seriously. I'm blogging more on that topic next week.

Today I just wanted to point out the Saudi connection.

  12. The left has the stinking freeloaders protesting having to pay for stuff, and the Democrats have already thrown in with them.

...and the CPUSA and the Unions and the American Nazi Party, and the LaRouchies...the list of scumbags just goes on and on. I've notice that their astrosmurfed ratings are beginning to tank, also.

    That just doesn't make sense.

  14. >Obama has created nothing but a better golf swing for himself.

You mean it used to be worse?!

    ReplyDelete
  15. >That just doesn't make sense.

You're not actually expecting Ducky to write something that does make sense, are you?

  16. I'll go real slow for the marine.

Pizza Ma would accelerate the current (inevitable) decline. Why is that difficult for you to understand?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ducky, That's Marine, with a capital M.

You're all assertion and not substance. Voting Cain over Obama is a no-brainer.

  18. Silver,

Do you see any irony in your logic?

Are the "freeloaders" occupying Wall Street any different then the freeloaders on Wall street?

    I'd say they are.

The real FREELOADERS, the FREELOADERS ON WALL STREET, are the problem. THEY ARE THE PROBLEM.

You're not one of them and they don't care about you, and your best interests have nothing in common with their's.

  19. Voting for Cain might result in great pain,
But nothing compared to the drama

Of staying the course for another four years.
That would be like a latter day Trail of Tears ––

The fulfillment of very bad Kharma ––
To stick with a jerk like Obama.

  20. NO Jersey.

It's not the freeloaders on Wall Street or in Zuccotti Park.

    It's the freeloaders in Washington.

You can't blame the dog for eating the roast if you leave it on the floor.

Until you come to the realization that there is no difference between a progressive Democrat and a progressive Republican other than a label, there's nothing we can do for you.

What did the freeloaders on Wall Street do that was legally wrong?
I'm not talking morally or ethically, but legally. The fact that they've done nothing wrong legally should tell you a lot and point you in the right direction as far as responsibility goes.

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Jersey: And you need to look up the definition of irony, which has no place whatsoever in logic.

I have never defended the wall street bankers, so I don't even know what your point is.

Like Finn said, the root of the problem is DC.
