Andrew Breitbart, RIP

He showed us the way, conservatives, and it's right up the middle, directly in the faces of the lying leftist liars and the doctrinaire propaganda victims who follow them...

Pick up his flag and run with it!

  1. Mr. Breitbart,

You shall be missed, sir. You were a true Conservative champion, and we quite liked you.

    Truly, rest in peace, Andrew.

  2. This is a real loss for our cause. He was just on T.V. the other night. RIP Andrew.

  3. From his obituary in the Globe:
"After Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts died in 2009, Breitbart tweeted "Rest in Chappaquiddick" and called him "a special pile of human excrement." When critics questioned his tone, he tweeted they "missed my best ones!""

Karma's a freaking bitch, isn't it Andy. Everyone told you to throw in a salad once in a while, fats. Now look at you.

Can't say I don't wish your stinking little bitch James O'Keefe went with you.

Thanks for cheapening a national dialogue which was already a pretty thin gruel.

  4. This is truly horrible news -- a genuine tragedy. I feel for his young family.

Sorry, but one can't help but wonder if he wasn't murdered by libops? One way or anther "they" always seem to get their way, because they'll stop at NOTHING -- not even murder.

More details here -- though nowhere near enough:

Here's Matt Drudge's short, sweet eulogy:

    DEAR READER:

In the first decade of the DRUDGEREPORT Andrew Breitbart was a constant source of energy, passion and commitment. We shared a love of headlines, a love of the news, an excitement about what's happening. I don't think there was a single day during that time when we did not flash each other or laugh with each other, or challenge each other. I still see him in my mind's eye in Venice Beach, the sunny day I met him. He was in his mid 20's. It was all there. He had a wonderful, loving family and we all feel great sadness for them today... 5. The difference between Fat Teddy and Breitbart is that Andrew never killed anyone.

Liberals hate breitbart because he doesn't play by their rules. It's a whole new game because of him, and liberals are losing badly (outside effete uber-lib bubbles like Massatoosits.)

    ReplyDelete
  6. But, Ducky, Kennedy did kill Mary Jo Kopeche. Everyone knows this, even on the left.

Who did Andrew Breitbart kill, other than the egos of any leftists who sought to challenge him intellectually?

    Your comments speak volumes, Ducky.

"You wish to honor the man? Very well then: take up his sword and fight as he did." ~Trevino

It just goes to show the good die young and evil old geezers like George Soros with no conscience keeps going.
You know the left is joyous right now even if they don't admit it.
That's part of the cause Breibart stood up for. He was passionate about his cause and didn't do it for the publicity but for America unlike the left who doesn't care who they step o to advance their agenda

  8. I hope Shirley Sharrod pisses on this ass nuggets grave.

This clown gave it out and now it should come back in proportion so that his kids know what a lying coward their father was.

Like the A.C.O.R.N. video, so poorly edited that even right wingers knew it was fake but they pushed the lie anyway. Upset that poor people might have someone speaking for them on the national stage even if it was a fairly small voice. So the congress just cut and ran, bigger cowards than even fat boy Breitbart.

That pile of fecal matter was on an early morning rabies radio show here every morning recently and just last week he was pushing the birther issue. That's your spokesman, that's your "patriot". Screw him and the fucking horse he rode in on and shame on the fools who believed him and his cabana boy, O'Keefe.

As for playing by the rules, Silver, you'll notice that the liberal shows like Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller aren't insulting him. Kos and others were respectful. Yeah, sometimes you should play by different rules. His kids should find out what a cowardly piece of shit their father was.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Boo hoo! We all know the left is always on the up and up, never mischaracterizing their opponents' positions...

Give us a break from your bs, Ducky.

Who's Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller?

Breitbart's greatness is measured by the volume of whiny screams from the left. The man is off the scale. Keep screamin' Ducky...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller are nasty lefties who engage in Media Mal Practice carrying the water for the Messiah.

  11. Lisa, there is all kinds of nastiness extant in our media. Breitbart was a primary practitioner of divisiveness and hatred.

Is there anyone who can really write an informative, objective piece about his legacy?

Not many and a liberal like Glenn Greenwald might be the most likely. Matt Taibbi may surprise also.

    Are you kidding me.

First we won't talk about the film industry. Not a fair fight.

The churches? Explain, not enough Calvinists to suit you?

Music? Ask Freethinker, substantial music disappeared in this country years ago and we have the free(LMFAO) market to blame.

Yeah, Breitbart was a champion for a dynamic artistic culture. Moron probably didn't have enough freaking chops to tell a Monet from a Manet and didn't care.

  14. Wow. He was only 43! That's my age! And he just keeled over, huh? Weird.

God bless his family in this terrible time. Conservative Patriots mourn with them.

May you be resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Mr. Breitbart. You will be truly missed.

Totally devastating news today. I am heartbroken.

  18. Ducky,

Though you embarrass me and make me feel almost ashamed that you and I are part of the same species, I am very glad, however, that SilverFiddle, -- unlike The Ladies Who Lunch, -- is brave enough, broad-minded enough -- and smart enough -- to let your obscene observations stand -- as a testament to the innate viciousness, tastelessness, coarseness, baseness, narrow-mindedness and sheer stupidity of the left, as it is today.

I knew, of course, you would rejoice at this news -- just as I would rejoice at the untimely deaths of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein -- or any one of hundreds and hundreds of other fractious, nettlesome Marxicrats.

The difference between us, however, is that I would do my celebrating quietly. I honestly did not think that even YOU would stoop as low as you have today.

I've stood up for you many times -- not that you'd ever deign to notice or thank me for it -- and I've given you the benefit of the doubt much more than you deserve, but after this, I doubt I could feel comfortable giving you so much as the time of day.

You have shown yourself to be lower than whale dung.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sorry Divine Theater, what's Breitbart's claim to fame?

The doctored A.C.O.R.N. tape that has been exposed as severely and a lie?

The Shirley Sherrod frame up? In one of his penultimate tweets - when asked if he had apologized to Ms Sherrod - Breitbart replied: "Apologize for WHAT?"

    Real standup guy wasn't he.

I admit that he can't be faulted for leaking the Weiner photos. Interesting that Weiner was forced to resign while right wing family values maven Larry Craig finished his term after being caught cruising a mens room.

Breitbart's little commando operations with O'Keefe were finished and he was desperately looking for some way to get bak in the limelight.

The fact that you people consider this stiff a great man says a lot about the state of the right in today's America. A bunch of droids who can be led by the nose with some cheap agitprop.

Again other than ramping up the division and hatred in his country what did he accomplish. Come on, bring it, best game.

  26. Ducky said-Lisa, Breitbart was a primary practitioner of divisiveness and hatred.

I guess you must mean the injustices we saw on the attacks against Clarence Thomas huh Ducky? That's what originally motivated him to do what he does to fight the particular nastiness of the left. Which by the way got the entire public,me included to go along with the lies they were using against him.

The left would not stand for a Black Oh my God.... Conservative to be a Supreme Court Justice. How dare he that Uncle Tom.

Only the left could get away with appointing murders,KKK members and using Kennedy money. But the real evil is someone like Romney.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ducky:

He figuratively punched erstwhile liberal bullies in the mouth and made them whine and cry like little school girls. The fact that his death has turned you into (even for you) a festering pustule of crass hatred and sneering twisted pleasure at the death of another is a testament to just how deeply he wounded you lefties. Thought you had the culture, the news, everything all sewed up, didn’t you?

Well you don’t! His hand grenades broke up your Long March He turned you guys into twisted up freaks, writhing like salted slugs and screaming outraged agony because someone had the temerity to run it right up your gut and get in your face.

You don’t own it anymore, lefty! And it’s thanks in a large part to Andrew Breitbart.

And he didn’t kill anyone like Ted Kennedy did.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The sounds you have heard from Ducky-pooh are the sounds you are bound to hear from the left whenever they've been caught stewing in their own juice -- hoist on their own petard -- drowning in their own vomit -- whatever.

Our fallen hero, Andrew Breitbart -- like that pioneer of open resistance to Marxism, RUSH LIMBAUGH -- consistently skewered the left by using the very same tactics the LEFT devised to flummox, confound and defeat Liberty, Protestant Christianity and Capitalism.

How very galling it must be to see the deadly weapons and no-holds-barred tactics you, yourself, developed turned against you to great good effect! It's as ironic as the knowledge that M. Guillotine wound up being executed by his own invention.

It's doubly ironic to know that if our precious Ducky managed to succeed in converting our society into the Dream-WIsh Fantasyland in which he imagineshe'd prefer to live, he'd very likely be dragged from his dwelling, thrown into a dungeon and there have his balls torn out, roasted before his eyes and shoved into his screaming mouth just before a red hot poker was rammed up his rosy red rectum and twisted unmercifully to cauterize the festering sores and incinerate the stinking pus that fill his insides and warps his worldview.

Nothing like getting a good heathy dose of your own medicine is there, you miserable merchant of mendacity.

  32. Some observations:

    1. The left will always, and I mean ALWAYS, when confronting their own vitriolic ways and words towards the right, use the excuse, 'Yeah, but remember when you guys did so and so and you guys were mean and so on and so on?' I have yet to meet or interact with a leftist who will not seek to justify their venomous behavior by not first pointing out something the right did or said to one of theirs.

    2. Ducky has Freedom of Speech as (I think) an American citizen, but we all know, and he knows, that there are tons of leftist sites he could have easily gone to to join in with other leftists in their hatred of Breitbart, and in their glee at his death. But yet, Ducky chooses to come here and trumpet his smegma-mouthed words.

I can only conclude that, as twisted as it is, Western Hero represents the only real human contact Ducky has with anyone, and even our negative attention is still attention.

However, as witnessed and mentioned on this blog posting, Ducky is showing himself to be...well...a leftist. And all rightists know that you can never, ever, trust or believe a leftist. Ducky's remarks will stand as a testament against him.

  37. Good grief, people.

I'm a Lefty, and I've said absolutely nothing disrespectful about Breitbart's death.

Don't make sweeping generalizations about the Left, and I won't do so when the Right does the same. And I have proof of how rancid the Right can be on my blog in the form of disgusting comments when Ted Kennedy died.

So shall I assume that because Rush Limbaugh called women who use contraceptives "sluts" that he speaks for all conservatives? Should we Lefties assume that the bargain Limbaugh set out: that he'll give women who want free contraceptives what they want if they'll send him videos of their sexual encounters, is what all conservatives are lusting after?

    LOL!

  40. You disappointed me, Ms. Shaw. I would have thought a woman of your obvious high quality and good breeding would have joined us in denouncing Ducky's scurrilous, utterly tasteless, and uncalled-for remarks.

Instead you've done the usual leftist thing by telling us that people on the right have done the same -- and worse -- as if that absolved Ducky of responsibility for his revolting display of ill will, bad temper and monstrous insensitivity.

Two wrongs have never made a right, but to equate the likes of late, reprobate Senator Kennedy with Andrew Breitbart -- as if they deserved even to be mentioned in the same breath just compounds the distastefulness of daring to take public delight in the tragic death of a young man who left a wife and four children.

I don't believe that you deserve to be limped in with the likes of Ducky -- at least I hope not -- but why give added credence to the very notions you sought to discredit by placing your emphasis in the wrong direction?

  48. "Andrew Breitbart Unleashes A Torrent Of Invective Against Sen. Ted Kennedy’s Legacy On Twitter" By Matt Corley on Aug 26, 2009 at 5:30 pm

Early this morning, news broke that Sen. Ted Kennedy had passed away after serving in the U.S. Senate for nearly 50 years. Soon after, conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart began a sustained assault on Kennedy’s memory, tweeting “Rest in Chappaquiddick.”

Over the course of the next three hours, Breitbart unapologetically attacked Kennedy, calling him a “villain,” “a big a$$ motherf@#$er,” a “duplicitous b$$@##d” and a “pr%^k.” “I’ll shut my mouth for Carter. That’s just politics. Kennedy was a special pile of human excrement,” wrote Breitbart in one tweet.

  62. As usual, whenever he makes one of his irksome and unwelcome appearances -- i.e. MUCH TOO OFTEN! -- everyone shifts focus AWAY from the topic and ON ----- DUCKLENUTS.

Here we have just lost an important friend and ally in the culture war, and instead of praising HIM and celebrating his achievements on our behalf, all our energies have turned to --- DUCKLENUTS.

Don't you see how SICK that is? How STUPID? How SELF-DEFEATING? How it plays right into his filthy leftist hands?

I know. I did it too. So kick me. That doesn't stop me from being right.

For the record: I was not in love with Andrew Breitbart's personality, and I thought his slovenly appearance and unfortunate vocal mannerisms worked against him in a world where "image" -- regrettably -- has become far more important than "substance."

Breitbart was, indeed, unprepossessing, but that takes nothing away from the truth of virtually everything he said and everything he stood for -- and the villainy of everything he worked against.

  63. As I already said, I am proud of SilverFiddle for letting Ducklenuts' vicious, inhumane, small-minded comments stand, because distasteful as they are, they provided clear and convincing evidence of the utterly despicable nature of our political enemies.

The first thought that popped into my head on receiving this sad news was, "I wonder how the filthy bastards murdered him?"

Something tells me Adrew Breitbart MUST have been murdered by leftist operatives, because the TIMING -- just as Andrew was about to reveal tapes damaging to Obama's reputation on the eve of the election -- was just a little TOO pat.

No one commented on my assertion here, but I have to tell you I was extremely gratified to learn on his broadcast yesterday evening that none other than Michael Savage -- the ONLY conservative radio talk show host in whom I have trust anymore -- shares my "gut" feeling, and wasn't afraid to say it out loud on the air.

I know we should all think of Andrew's poor family first and foremost, -- and certainly I do grieve for them, believe me, -- but since Breitbart was such a towering figure in the political arena -- a larger-than-life heroic figure -- his untimely death has grave implications for the future of our nation.

Given the horrific record of radical leftist takeovers in the twentieth century through craft, guile, deceit, barbaric acts of terror and mass murder on a scale unprecedented in world history, how could anyone seriously doubt the strong possibility that Andrew Breitbart was murdered in some sneaky, virtually untraceable way by political operatives who have never been burdened by conscience, any sense of decency or awareness of principle?

Leftists -- if we can believe the writings and activities of Antonio Gramsci, The Frankfurt School, Bela Kuhn, Saul Alinsky and the so-called New York Intellectuals -- have such a firm belief in their mission to destroy Western Protestant-Christian Capitalist Civilization they are besotted with the conviction that "OUR ends justify WHATEVER means we must use in order to obtain victory."

That, of course, is why they -- like the vicious Muslimaniacs with whom they ardently sympathize -- have proved so terribly hard to beat.

Sometimes, regrettable thought it may be to have to say it, "The only to fight fire is WITH fire."

  66. Duck,
That's right AOW, we are rid of him.

I remember a time when you backpedaled from what you're spouting now. You said "Breitbart in a body bag" was humor from you, that we "right wingnuts" (or some such) were blowing your comment out of proportion and had no sense of humor.

Now that Breitbart is dead, you rejoice in his death and show what you really are -- a member of a death cult.

BTW, your statement on the air in July 2010 was to the effect: "If this administration had any sense, it would put Breitbart in a body bag."

I think that Breitbart died of natural causes -- just a guess on my part (my sources and my reasons will remain unrevealed). But just SUPPOSE that there is foul play involved. You advocated it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Let us for the sake of argument accept this statement at face value:

"Breitbart unapologetically attacked Kennedy, calling him a “villain,” “a big ass motherfucker,” a “duplicitous bastard” and a “prick.” “I’ll shut my mouth for Carter. That’s just politics. Kennedy was a special pile of human excrement” ...

What exactly was UNTRUE about those observations vulgar though they certainly be?

Frankly, I could think of a lot worse things to say about The Chap-My-Dick-Quick Kid -- an over-privileged, baseborn bounder, a cad, a slob, a serial abuser of women, a poor parent, a worse husband, a liar, a coward, a trumpeting hypocrite and a moral imbecile come quickly to mind.

Teddy Boy's disgraceful Life Tenure in the US Senate was, is -- and should ever remain -- a black mark against the character, intelligence and predilections of the Massachusetts electorate.

If this was said in a "Tweet" -- a medium with which I am -- and intend to remain -- thoroughly unfamiliar -- is it not possible the remarks were not intended for publication? Might it not be further evidence of political operatives usual lack of qualm, conscience or compunction about invading privacy to achieve their objectives?

The outrageous application of multiple standards routinely applied by the left has infected the entire nation with a disease likely to prove terminal.

  68. Local radio is replaying Andrew Breitbart's "conversation" with Chris Barone ho has just finished a book on #Occupy, 99 Days with the 99 Percent , and we've got Breitbart whining like a little bitch that #occupy demonstrated outside CPAC and claimed there were racist speakers.
Barone came back at him and all Breitbart had was "you're a Marxist".

Now the two shows going on about Breitbart having films connecting Obama to Ayers and opening the question of whether this was an assassination. Here come the conspiracy theorists ready t display a level of stupidity worthy of the birthers.

Breitbart did a service. He helped congeal the right wing nut logs and bring us the likes of Lil Ricky Retardo and the rest of the fringe right clown car riders. He helped guarantee four more years of Obummer because the right has finally been exposed as completely insane.

Many of these same people had despised him.

I can say the same thing about how various politicians feigned grief when Richard Nixon died.

As for the films that Breitbart recently spoke of, supposedly those films WILL be released.

  79. On this very sad thread I am HAPPY to report that MIKE GALLAGHER has spent the better part of his show so far this morning wondering why nobody" has questioned the circumstances of Andrew Breitbart's sudden death ON March first -- the very day Breitbart had said he going to produce dramatically damning evidence against our shitting president.

Gallagher obviously thinks it very likely that Breitbart was murdered, so does Michael Savage -- and so do I.

I don't believe in coincidences. The TIMING was just too too perfect from the leftist point of view, and given the nature of the rhetoric we've been treated to thus far our resident shithead and the charming endearing columnist Taibbi to which he referred us and the obscene ravings sure to be seen on The Daily Kos, HuffPo and the rest of that ilk I cannot believe somene on the left DIDN'T murder Breitbart. Such tactics are emblematic of the left.

There MUST be an autopsy performed on Breitbart's body, and the results MUST be released to the public, although I have little faith we'd get an HONEST report.

Until it is conclusively proven otherwise, I shall continue to believe that Andrew Breitbart was MURDERED. There's nothing the least bit whacky or far out in thinking that a strong possibility.

  81. FT,

Breitbart had a history of heart problems. There are plenty of actually sound reasons to have contempt for the Left without nursing a baseless conspiracy theory that "they" had something to do with his death. One could just as easily drum up a boogeyman of furtive forces in the shadows out to silence Breitbart for his yeoman's work in exposing the shock jock plagiarist hack Glenn Beck as a fraud or documenting Ron Paul's chronology as an unrepentant racist and anti-Semite.

Breitbart had enemies on the psuedo-right as well. Who's to say, who's to say?

Let's whip out Occam's Razor and cut down to what we know. Breitbart had a medical history of cardiac problems.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Glenn Beck may present himself poorly by acting like a clown, but he's certainly no fraud. Virtually everything he asserted on his TV program was absolutely true, although I never cared for David Barton, whose interpretation of "history" is decidedly agenda-driven.

It just happened to be a lot of stuff The Establishment has chosen to ignore or de-emphasize, because it doesn't suit their "Vision" for our future.

Everyone is entitled to believe what they find most persuasive. Nothing will ever change that. Persistent ridicule, insolence and dismissive rhetoric notwithstanding.

I think the possibility that Breitbart was MURDERED deserves to be thoroughly investigated. You don't.

INTELLIGENCE: Of Dart Guns and Poisons

    Time Magazine, September 9, 1975

    Posted: 2011-03-16 12:19:06

    http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,913459,00.html

For nearly nine months the congressional investigations of the Central Intelligence Agency have been conducted behind closed doors. In the old Senate caucus room the ten members of the select Senate committee were questioning CIA officials, including Director William Colby and the deputy director for science and technology, Sayre Stevens, about 11 gm. of shellfish toxin and 8 mg. of cobra venom discovered last May in a CIA storeroom.

Colby revealed that the agency in 1952 began a supersecret research program, code-named M.K. Naomi, partly to find countermeasures to chemical and biological weapons that might be used by the Russian KGB. CIA researchers ... came up with an array of James Bond weaponry that could use the shellfish toxin and other poisons as ammunition. To illustrate his testimony, Colby handed a pistol to Committee Chairman Frank Church. Resembling a Colt .45 equipped with a fat telescopic sight, the gun fires a toxin-tipped dart, almost silently and accurately up to 250 ft.

Moreover, the dart is so tiny—the width of a human hair and a quarter of an inch long—as to be almost indetectable, and the poison leaves no trace in a victim's body. Charles Senseney, an engineer for the Defense Department, told the Senators that he had devised dart launchers that were disguised as walking canes and umbrellas.

[Note: To watch an incredible one-minute video clip on this silent, lethal dart gun which causes a heart attack, click here. To watch the full, highly revealing Warner Brothers documentary Secrets of the CIA, click here. For other riveting major media articles along these lines, click here.

  98. Again, FT, there's a gulf of difference between idle speculation and factual presentation.

Andrew Brietbart could PROVE that Glenn Beck is a plagiarist hack. He had a basis for that line of reasoning and documented it thoroughly. Same with his exposes of Ron Paul's racism and anti-Semitism, including the recommendations and sales of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion nonsense on Ron Paul's websites.

You can not prove Andrew Breitbart was killed by a shellfish toxin dart by the CIA, the KGB, GBTV, or even MTV. There is no basis for believing that even enters the realm of plausibility. You're merely allowing an irrational thought to bolster and self-propel itself.

It's no better than someone claiming your adamant denials of raping small animals is proof positive that your rape animals. You deny it not because you don't rape animals, but rather because you don't want anyone to know you rape animals.

Back to Breitbart's demise, what does his death do? Do you see anyone in his coterie of conservative movement allies now afraid of their own shadows in fear that if they continue their work, they'll be mysteriously "assassinated" too, as a message from some unseen Powers-That-Be?

Are you going to stop opposing the Left now that you've convinced yourself that they've got a shellfish toxin dart with your name on it? Really?

John Birch Society conspiracy loons and other mentally disturbed cranks were escorted out of the conservative movement for a reason. The Left's monopoly on irrationality shouldn't be challenged.

Z, what a voice. it's no wonder you sing so beautifully. Well done AOW! Great show.

While Ducky says some crazy things at times while blogging I thought he was polite with AOW and Z. They were also polite. After hanging up with him you can hear them shaking there heads over the great divide.

The Duck plays on emotions of the right like AB played the left, like an instrument. It's part of the political circus. I can't take the circus too seriously; nobody is going to get out alive. Ask Andrew.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Good morning, KP.

I feel almost exactly as you do about The Gathering Storm broadcast. I listened to the show over at AOW's place, and made comments there.

Z certainly does have a lovely voice, and a charming and persuasive -- very natural -- approach to the microphone. In fact I think SHE ought to have a radio show of her own. It would act like balm in an area that seems perpetually riled up and ready to burst out of it skin with barely-controlled rage. How good it would be to see some graciousness introduced into conservative Talk Radio!

Frankly I was impressed with how very ORDINARY Ducky sounds. Somehow I expected a more cultivated -- not to say affected -- form of speech from him -- a labio-dental lisp at the very least. ;-) So much of his writing -- if you could properly call it that -- sounds limp at the wrist (I've always imagined our Ducks with perpetually pursed lips prancing around at home dressed in black tights and a smudged up smock sporting a beret!), but in person he comes off like a working class stiff you might meet any old day at the corner bar -- and not nearly as rude, perverse, and unpleasant as we know him to be from his all-too-frequent "appearances" here and at other blogs and websites.

Being firmly against literalism, myself, [My motto is Facts are Not Truth] I was not particularly impressed with Ducky's "body bag" comment. He was merely being flippant. Many of us say things like that about those we don't like all the time, just as many mothers have often said, "If you don't stop that this instant, I'm going to kill you" to their wayward child.

Only a very foolish person -- or some malevolent individual who thrives on making trouble -- would take something of that sort literally and place it out of context.

At any rate I sure do admire AOW for being able to do a weekly broadcast when she already has so many irons in the fire that must be a tremendous drain on her energies. I don't know how she does it, but I think it's wonderful.

As for my contention that Breitbart could have been murdered (in case you were wondering), I can't understand -- given the man's position and the powerful role he played in our political culture -- why that wouldn't be one of the first things that sprang to mind. It would seem incredibly negligent to me not to investigate that possibility with extreme thoroughness.

I have a good deal of faith in Michael Savage -- much more than I do in any of his colleagues as a matter of fact -- and Michael feels much as I do -- that the peremptory claim that Breitbart died of "natural causes" and the almost studious determination on the part of too many to accept that at face value when in fact the circumstances under which he -- a famous, controversial and highly polarizing figure -- died (ALONE on a darkened STREET late at night!) are the stuff of countless detective stories, movies and TV shows.

Maybe I have a little too much of Sherlock Holmes, Alfred Hitchcock or Jessica Fletcher in me, but I would dare to say that anyone who does NOT feel a compelling need to investigate the possibility that Breitbart's death was caused by foul play is either a bit of a dolt -- or has something he'd like to hide.

    Have a great weekend, KP.

  107. FROM ANOTHER BLOG ON A DIFFERENT SUBJECT

The relevance, however, should become clear.

I am religious, but appreciate your tolerant sentiments and understanding of the implicit subtleties and complexities surrounding abortion, and largely concur. Frankly,

I am sick to death of this particular subject, because I truly believe that a fanatical obsession with it as The Paramount Issue of our Time acts as a red herring leading us away from dealing with problems even more fundamental to the future well-being of humanity.

Also, it gives ferocious bigots who live primarily to denigrate, discredit and verbally abuse others a great opportunity to strut their stuff and still appear -- God help us! -- "righteous."

The impulse to dominate and micromanage OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES is rooted in humanity's regrettable capacity to indulge in the practice of SADISM -- a perversion that has found infinite ways to cloak itself in the guise of Respectability since time immemorial.

What ELSE do you think The Colosseum, The Crucifixion, The Crusades, The Inquisition, Cromwell's Persecutions, the dreadful deeds of Hernando Cortes, The Salem Witch Trials, The Bolshevik Revolution, and The Third Reich could have been about?

The answer is NOTHING.

Not the love of money but the desire to beat others down, and subjugate them to our will is the Root of All Evil.

"Beware of those in whom the will to punish is strong.”

    It's consistent with sudden death.

If I had a show and had to control myself, I could hear you (and others here, my buddies) laughing out loud at Z not saying what you all know I'd love to say :-)
And, as an aside...I substitute taught a Spanish class this week and the teacher asked me to discuss with the kids if Latinos vote more Republican or Dem and why! I said to him "Are you SURE you want ME to do that?"
ALL the kids, but there were only 10 in the class, ALL said "they will vote for Dems because they'll give them freebies." I couldn't believe it. AND they were against illegal immigration. I was stunned. Happily stunned!! ARen't you?

I meant every word I said. You really are a "natural" for radio -- and probably TV too. I've always been enchanted by well-modulated voices with no discernible "accent." You have that in abundance -- a lovely gift.

I think most of us are on edge and steamed up because of all that is happening to us. Sometimes what we say comes out as just plain nasty, and that's too bad, but it's understandable -- or at least I think so.

At any rate, you show remarkable poise in front of the microphone. You know me -- I never say anything I don't mean -- especially when I'm giving compliments.

As a counterfoil to The Savage Nation, maybe you could host The Gentle Civilization -- or something like that with a better title? Seriously, I think the country is ready for a rest from stridency. I know I am.

Be of good cheer. Things CAN get better. I often doubt it, but I hope we may be doing some good in the blogosphere with our efforts to counteract the overpowering influence of the media.

  117. @Silverfiddle -- @ Ducky: I am a leftist. Therefore I try to consider the evidence.

Except when your dogma is questioned, like someone mentioning abortion is taking a life

    ------
No, I am willing to debate and I do find it hard to take a firm position. A very difficult issue.

But the topic at hand is Breitbart. I'm the big heavy for not considering those he left behind. Hell if he considered his kids he wouldn't have been into the booze and drugs.
Then we have conspiracy theorists who follow Michael Whiner (aka Savage) and concoct assassination theories because Breitbart has some incredible tapes which aren't going to be of concern to anyone but the last weary nutcase stragglers from the birther movement.

Now just what did this great warrior do in his lifetime. The great conservative warrior? He made use of the suckers.
A ginned up tape "exposing" A.C.O.R.N. which the emotional fringe right crowd has used to push a phony case of concern for voter fraud.

Some grandstanding during the Anthony Weiner show. No real biggy, exposing political sex scandals was a cottage industry long before this guy.

Shirley Sherrod? Just proof that the emotional right knows no shame. A really disgusting lie.

So what did this great warrior do except fucking cheapen everything he touched in his drunken stupors? Give me your best game, I say you've got nothing.

  119. ... but let's get to the source of your thought and emotion, Silverfiddle. Not exactly you personally but "you" the fringe right. That ones who deny reason.

Why? Because they have a twisted sense of themselves. They don't think they are better than others, they think GOD thinks they are better than others. That gets extended to America and the asinine "exceptionalism" meme.

You read a little Hayek to give yourself basic ammunition but at your base you run on dogma and look down on those who would challenge your dogma. Martin Luther said sola scriptura and anyone who disagrees is unfit.

I think it's appropriate that you meet a few people who call you out, especially when it comes to the utter insanity of claiming martyrdom for a mediocrity like Breitbart who sowed so much hatred and class antagonism in his life. Hardly christian.

  120. You're repeating yourself Ducky. Go back and read my comments in the thread. My words were clear and I'm not wasting my time repeating myself.

For further amusement, you can go to Tabbi the Hissing Cat's liberal vomit at Rolling Stoned and read my comments there.

Do you have anything to substantiate your unfounded allegations of drunkenness and drugs?

Why do you lefties hate him? Because he used your tactics and he owned you. He punched you in the face and you ran screaming to mommy. I especially appreciated the irony of the lying propaganda-riddled left appealing to truth and fairness. That was a hoot!

    God bless you, Andrew Breitbart...

  121. SF, I knew the guy; he wasn't a drinker! He had a blast at Tulane and admits it and even recommends it. See the video I linked. He surely didn't do drugs!
Whatever...who cares what Ducky says? It's all from hate.

    Andrew wasn't about hate.
I NEVER post anything this long, but I think it's vital to your discussion: In Andrews' words:

Make no mistake: America is in a media war. It is an extension of the Cold War that never ended but shifted to an electronic front. The war between freedom and statism ended geographically when the Berlin Wall fell. But the existential battle never ceased.
When the Soviet Union disintegrated, the battle simply took a different form. Instead of missiles the new weapon was language and education, and the international left had successfully constructed a global infrastructure to get its message out.
Schools. Newspapers. Network news. Art. Music. Film. Television. . . .
If the political left weren't so joyless, humorless, intrusive, taxing, overtaxing, anarchistic, controlling, rudderless, chaos-prone, pedantic, unrealistic, hypocritical, clueless, politically correct, angry, cruel, sanctimonious, retributive, redistributive, intolerant—and if the political left weren't hell-bent on expansion of said unpleasantness into all aspects of my family's life—the truth is, I would not be in your life.
If the Democratic Party were run by Joe Lieberman and Evan Bayh, if it had the slightest vestige of JFK and Henry "Scoop" Jackson, I wouldn't be on the political map.
If the American media were run by biased but not evil Tim Russerts and David Brinkleys, I wouldn't have joined the fight. . . .
If America's pop-cultural ambassadors like Alec Baldwin and Janeane Garofalo didn't come back from their foreign trips to tell us how much they hate us, if my pay cable didn't highlight a comedy show every week that called me a racist for embracing constitutional principles and limited government, I wouldn't be at Tea Parties screaming my love for this great, charitable, and benevolent country.
I am a reluctant cultural warrior.................(Andrew Breitbart, may he rest in peace)

  122. Well, my druggie brother dropped dead at 48 and I'm thinking you have to go the Michael Savage route to find an explanation other than abusing yourself for dropping dead in the wee hours of the morning at 43.

  123. But Silver, we haven't finished with the pathology that allowed a hate monger like Breitbart to become your standard bearer.

Now the right likes to make everything look so reprehensibly perfect (to borrow from Kenneth Larkin) that we need to look at the reason for their insane reaction to Obama, essentially a right of center president.

He really upset the applecart. As most personified here by Freethinker he let it be known that the era of white privilege was winding down. You're going to have to share but first you had to make him, "other".

Get the birthers out there, the freaks who claim he's a Muslim and Breitbart was brilliant at jumping on that hate wagon.
Hell there was an organization out there trying to register coons to vote and a lot of you couldn't have that.
By being himself and gaining so much support, he worked tirelessly to reveal the true repulsive core of the modern conservative movement. And you praise what this vulgar man produced.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Ducky,

Were you not a man of the vulgar left, your word might have carried some weight...

Andrew Breitbart said he had heart problems, and that explains his death.

You and FreeThinke can argue over what killed him. Me, I'm an occam's razor guy. He had heart problems, he keeled over, and the left danced their death cult jig. If only he had been a fetus in the womb of Sandra Fluke...

    ReplyDelete
  125. Andrew was adopted so nobody knows what his heart history might have been but he spent a touch four or five days at UCLA last year and was under doctor's care.
    Enough said.
Autopsy results are due in six weeks, from I heard today

I think it's unseemly to be inventing ugly reasons for someone's death, anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Regarding my contention that Breitbart could very well have been murdered: I can't understand -- given the man's position and the powerful role he played in our political culture -- why that wouldn't be one of the first things that sprang to mind once the initial shock had started to wear off. It would seem incredibly negligent to me not to investigate that possibility with extreme thoroughness.

There's nothing the least bit "unseemly" about it.

Maybe I have a little too much of Sherlock Holmes, Alfred Hitchcock or Jessica Fletcher in me, but I would dare to say that anyone who does NOT feel a compelling need to investigate the possibility that Breitbart's death was caused by foul play is either a bit of a DOLT -- or has something he'd like to hide.

...... OR it could just be somebody who delights in provoking pointless internet quarrels, because he (or she) gets his (or her) kicks from spouting endless eruptions of vitriolic contempt and vituperation -- a pathological form of conceit properly known as vomitus volcanus peccata perpetua. };-)>

It will be interesting to hear the results of the autopsy report, though I have little faith that we would be told the truth by ANY officials from Los Angeles County -- one of the strongest liberal bastions in the Universe.

  128. Duck,
I doubt that the toxicology report will bear out your theories about Breitbart and substance/alcohol abuse.

Look. My mother never ingested cocaine or marijuana and was, for all practical purposes, a teetotaler. Nevertheless, she began having heart attacks at age 44: familial heart trouble combined with kidney problems (Bright's Disease, I think). I'm certain that Mom would have died as a result of that first heart attack had we not been home to get help immediately.

As it was, Mom died at the age of 71 from something called "heart block." It's a sort of electrical malfunction, and the heart simply cannot be restarted. Mom was in the coronary care unit at the time. The same thing happened to Mom's first cousin; she was undergoing angiography at the time, so quick attention was right there. The result: her heart wouldn't restart.

It happens, Duck. No matter how much you take care of yourself.

  129. Duck,
And one more thing....You need to stop gloating. You really have made a worse ass of yourself than I thought possible. Whatever happened to what you said a few years back (paraphrase): "No matter the politics, on a human level, what has happened to Z [suddenly widowed with no warning) and to AOW (my husband's devastating stroke], I feel compassion for them on a human level." Can't you extend the same to Breitbart, particularly to his family?

Truer words were never written, AOW.

What an elegant summation you have made there.

  131. The city has recommended another autopsy. Mrs. Breitbart has accepted.
No drugs or alcohol implicated, of course.

SF...I have a post you might have seen up just now; I am not including your link because I do not want Susie Breitbart to see the comments here, but I have copy/pasted your post for her, along with others. Thanks.

  132. A lot of remarks very appreciative of Andrew Breitbart were left here. I can't imagine why anyone who liked him would not want his widow to see them.

Surely, given the nature of Breitbart's career, everyone closely connected to him must have been acutely aware of the tides of filth and vituperation his best efforts attracted? In dealing with that awareness I am sure they long ago learned how to separate the gold from the garbage and conduct their lives accordingly.

The idea that anyone must be shielded from reality is quintessential to the spirit that animates the left -- the creators and vigorous exponents of Centrally-Planned Economies and the Nanny State.

Eleanor Roosevelt was just like that -- an inveterate, tongue-clucking busybody who always knew what was best for everyone else, but whose personal life was by all reports a fiasco.

Breitbart was brave enough to provoke -- and actually revel in -- the tons of abuse heaped upon him. He adored confrontation -- staring the bullies down and beating the bastards at their own game.

I can't believe his family would really want to dishonor his memory choosing to avoid awareness of reality by retreating into a cloistered, sanitized, over-protected, pleasantly perfumed, hermetically-sealed environment.

What a victory that would hand Breitbart's enemies!

No, Breitbart was a scheming, lying destructive individual. He purposely caused great damage and set back the national dialogue quite a bit.

I've made a fool of myself? Get a grip. The fringe right make this cheap mountebank a hero and you don't understand who the fools are.

Yeah, the leader of your "movement" was a lousy sideshow geek and he earned o respect on earth and gets none.

  134. Ducky,

You're not even GOOD at invective. You're just a numbing bore as well as an intrusive, inveterate, unrepentant, unregenerate boor.

Some people find your valiant attempts to be offensive amusing. In truth they are merely tedious and about as useful as the piles of dog dirt one is forced to step with with great care and precision after they've been deposited on the sidewalk.

May you one day be attacked and eaten by a wild boar.

Get one of your avant garde buddies to film it. 'Twould make a sensational snuff flick -- something the cognoscenti would be sure to drool and jerk off over for decades to come.
