Why I'm Voting for Mitt Romney

I don't hang on the words of politicians, and I ignore most of their blather for the public opinion-tuned rhetoric it is. I am also not a huge Romney fan, but the next President of the United States will either be him or Barack Obama, so for me the choice is an easy one.  I want the rich guy who understands economics and who actually has some accomplishments under his belt.

Granted, it's just words, but this is how a president talks.  Here's Mitt on Government:
Where my vision believes in the ingenuity of the American people, his vision trusts the wisdom of political appointees and boards, commissions and czars. It’s one in which ordinary Americans must get permission from people in Washington before they can buy, build, invest or hire.
It’s a world of federal mandates and waivers, tax credits and subsidies, federal grants and loan guarantees. It’s an economy where a company’s lobbyists will be more important than its engineers, and federal compliance lawyers will outnumber patent lawyers.
Business models based on building a better mousetrap will give way to those that seek the right mix of government subsidies, waivers and loan guarantees. And Chief Government Officers will join the ranks of Chief Financial Officers and Chief Operating Officers in corporate America’s executive ranks.
President Obama trusts in the wisdom of government. I put my trust in the ingenuity and creativity and commitment to hard work of the American people.  (Quoted by James Pethokoukis)
When's the last time a Republican has stood up and said something like this, and campaigned on it?

  1. Everyone hated Romney, and the Paulbot nutjobs will continue to hate him, but the conservative base will come to love and embrace him. Because, in all honesty, Romney is a born leader with big accomplishments and big ambition. The guy is a walking talking success and he is exactly the kind of man we need as a president right now. His campaign is running on all fours, raising huge amounts of money and staying on point...no falling for the continual traps the liberal media keep trying to set. Mitt and company are 10 times better than McCain ever was and if I was in the Obama campaign right now, I'd be sweating bullets, especially after the latest poll data in Wisconsin.

How DARE you or anyone else expect professionalism from our President!!

Lets not forget that he was dealt this hand from a warmonger.and that HE won the Nobel peace prize!
And the US private sector is doing Fine!

Why do I have the feeling that YOU are a RACIST!!!

  6. These anti-Obama haters have been watching too much Fox News! He did the right thing for this country and his spending spree is now over. At least with him we'll know what we're getting; with someone new we're going to have to wait and see for 4 years while sitting on pins, getting an ulcer, and they're most likely going to lie to us to get our vote the loser they nominated . Vote for PRESIDENT Obama. He's our President, and our LEADER , let's respect him and the office!

  7. I'm not impressed by words...I'm impressed by actions. He's describing and railing against a paradigm that the GOP has been equally culpable in engendering...at least in recent history.

I won't vote for Romney, because I don't believe he will usher in a true change in how our government treat it's citizens.

But I hope to be proven wrong.

  9. Romney isn't going to turn the economy around... and four more years of stagflation is just going to create the conditions that will allow another Leftist demagogue to push us into a Keynsian debt death spiral.

Wake the 'f up. The Republican establishment is part of the problem, NOT the solution. Romney is part of the problem, NOT the solution.

  10. I'll vote for Romney over Obama in New York minute. Obama believes wealth is created by government, Romney believes it is by the private sector. That is about as stark as you can get in a choice.

I don't think Romney will stop the train the country is on, but I think he might it slow it down considerably. There is a whole bureaucratic apparatus and mindset in Washington DC beyond just the office of President.

Obama told President Medvedev he would have "more flexibility" after the election. That indicates to me that he will put the "pedal to the metal" on a issues where he has been restrained (somewhat).

  11. Romney doesn't believe that the private sector creates wealth. He believes that the CORPORATE sector creates wealth. ThAt's even worse than believing that the GOVERNMENT creates wealth.

Corporations and governments are NOT people. Only PEOPLE are people.

I agree with much of the rest of what you said, but action begins with ideas, and somebody needs to be sowing free market seeds.

If Romney gets elected that's when the tea party's job really kicks in. We hold him to his words and if he doesn't turn words into action we vilify him worse than we did Obama.

  15. I deal with alot of businesses and never talk politics with them because you never know.
Anyway I was pleasantly surprised to receive this e-mail this morning from a customer:

    Subject: Who Is Mitt Romney?

    Some interesting facts about Romney.
After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School
simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney.
As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major or business deal involved
investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in
Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now
has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.
Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the
"Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again
and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel,
Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many
    others.
Got your calculators handy? Let's recap.
Volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.
Unpaid intern in Governor's office 8 years.
Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years.
Unpaid bishop and stake president for his church 10 years.
Took no salary as president of the Salt Lake Olympics 3 years.
No salary as MA governor 4 years.
Gave his ENTIRE INHERITANCE to charity.
That's a grand t otal of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his
community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney
    is.
    And he'll show you his:
    1) Un-doctored Birth Certificate!
    2) College transcripts!
    3) Law degree!
    4) Un-doctored Draft notice!
    5) And un-doctored Social Security card, and what state it's registered in!
When was the last time we elected a politician of this character, intellect,
    experience and integrity?

PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS, BUSINESS ASSOCIATES AND FAMILY.
WE MUST DEFEAT OBAMA IN NOVEMBER. IF WE, THE PRODUCERS IN THIS COUNTRY, DO
NOT RALLY TO OUR COUNTRY'S CALL, THE LOOTERS WILL OWN IT, ...... AND WE WILL
    PAY!

And one of my biggest accounts just disclosed to me how wrong she was to have voted for Obama.

So it seems the tide is turning.
I would be more proud of my country to have an experienced leader who I believe would want to do what's best for the country and business, not what's best for Obama and Government regardless of what Ducky thinks

Vote for a third party candidate and you will give Obama a Victory
I just can’t and never will vote for Obama, no matter who the Republican candidate is. I just can’t let him win because of my stupidity. And I can't give him the excuse or let him think that he has a mandate. W gave him a mandate in 2008 and he betrayed us. He all but turned America into a Socialist Nation. I can only imagine what he’d do the second time around when he doesn’t have to suck up to the voters in 4 more years. I shudder to even think about it.. His populism makes me want to vomit whenever I hear it. And I’m so saddened by the people who believe it, I never realized that we had so many fools in this country, fools who can not see or appreciate what they have here, and what all these foreigners risk their lives to have. Were they not watching the past 3 1/2 years?
I refuse to REWARD the Obama administration who has been so full of corruption. I will stand up for what I believe in and I will not throw my vote to corrupt politicians and their corruptors… these communistic criminals who have taken over our government must be voted out..
I can’t stop these liberals from being idiots, but I beg you Libertarians not to. Ron Paul can not win so do not waste your vote!

We have TWO CHOICES NOW. One has done more to ruin American in 3 1/2 years than any other president has done. The other has words like SF has published...is having tons of leftwing dirt thrown at him and is still standing tall.
Yet "solid conservatives" won't vote for him. Then they'll be crying about more Obama because they helped him get elected.

  28. No, we no longer HAVE a "choice"... the end of "imperial" America will be here in four to six years (four if we get Obama, six if we get Romney). Europe is about to go "tits up" and the neo-liberal "blue economic model" is about to crash down around everyone's ears.

we've come full economic circle back to pre Enlightenment eighteenth century state merchantilism and crony capitalism. Time to start getting back to basics. China can play this game a LOT better than we can. And their ships filled with opium will soon be docking on our shores, and our skies will soon be filled with their drones

There aren't two choices. There are "none". Zeus (necessity) is back in charge... and only those who can face hard facts in the face, will survive.

But if you want to "ostrich" for another four years, thats your perogative. When a harder left socialist wins in 2016, you'll try and ostrich past that election, too.

  29. Tennyson, "To E. Fitzgerald" (excerpt)

And as it were, perforce, upon me flash'd
The power of prophesying but to me
No power so chain'd and coupled with the curse
Of blindness and their unbelief who heard
And heard not, when I spake of famine, plague
    Shrine-shattering earthquake, fire, flood, thunderbolt,
And angers of the Gods for evil done
And expiation lack'd no power on Fate
Theirs, or mine own! for when the crowd would roar
For blood, for war, whose issue was their doom,
To cast wise words among the multitude
Was fiinging fruit to lions; nor, in hours
Of civil outbreak, when I knew the twain
Would each waste each, and bring on both the yoke
Of stronger states, was mine the voice to curb
The madness of our cities and their kings.
Who ever turn'd upon his heel to hear
My warning that the tyranny of one
Was prelude to the tyranny of all?
My counsel that the tyranny of all
Led backward to the tyranny of one?
This power hath work'd no good to aught that lives
And these blind hands were useless in their wars.
    O. therefore, that the unfulfill'd desire,
The grief for ever born from griefs to be
The boundless yearning of the prophet's heart
Could that stand forth, and like a statue, rear'd
To some great citizen, win all praise from all
Who past it, saying, "That was he!"
    In vain!
Virtue must shape itself in deed, and those
Whom weakness or necessity have cramp'd
Withn themselves, immerging, each, his urn
In his own well, draws solace as he may.

  33. Although Romney appears to be basically clean and decent, kind-hearted, strong, capable, and is by any standards a fine-looking man with a beautiful family, and a long string of accomplishments to his credit, there is something stupendously dull about him -- not dull in the sense of stupid, but of witless and a lack of animal magnetism, despite his abundant good lucks.

Next to the undistinguished-but-tragic Franklin Pierce and the disgraced Andrew Johnson, Romney would be the handsomest president we've ever had by far, but it's not enough. He lacks lacks sparkle –– that undefinable quality we call "charisma."

People seem to want to believe that Barack Obama has "it," and that he's a great" orator. Sorry, but I think that, while he is undeniably clean-cut and good-looking, he too is stupendously dull. His baritone may have a pleasing ring to it (primarily because his speech patterns bear little trace of the Ebonic Accent that marks the majority of Negroes for social exclusion, as well it should) but his delivery is halting, monotonous, dreary, and notably detached from any sense of emotional connection with the banalities and clichés he consistently utters.

So, the cynicism and despair exhibited by Farmer John and even the ignoble Canardo are, most regrettably, justified.

HOWEVER, nothing short of being shot dead or flattened by an 18-wheeler and rendered comatose is going to stop me from voting for MITT ROMNEY, of course, but it's ONLY because he's NOT Barack Obama.

We may be passengers on TITANIC TWO, but as a matter of principle let's enjoy the food, dance to the music, and seek romance up until the very MMENT the great ship goes down.

After all, LIVING WELL IS THE BEST REVENGE –– even when you're about to go under for the third –– and final –– time.

Regarding Ron Paul as a dangerous lunatic is the most notable symptom of the mental, moral and spiritual CANCER that's been eating this country alive since long before any of us were born.

We've been brainwashed -- or conditioned, if you prefer –– into forgetting who we were, who we are, and who we ought to be. We are displaced persons in our own country. It is not we who have moved, however, but everything around us has been forcibly changed to such an extent we can't recognize it let-alone-feel-at-home with it.

Human life will persist, as it has through countless millennia –– despite natural disasters and the rise and fall of great empires –– but The American Experiment has been allowed to fail. It's decaying corpse is already stinking up the laboratory.

"Our Constitution is in actual operation; everything appears to promise that it will last, but in this world nothing is certain but death and taxes."

    ~ Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I’m afraid The Great Sage of Philadelphia was right. I’ve always thought he was the smartest of all the Founding Fathers. He was boundlessly creative, adventurous, had a great sense of humor, and knew how to enjoy himself. He certainly lived life to the fullest, but I suspect he knew all long in his heart of hearts that the Great Work in which he participated so vigorously was doomed to failure in the long run. I think they all did. Adams and Jefferson left numerous hints to that effect.

So, even if you do it just for spite -- as I most certainly will -- VOTE for ROMNEY. If we’re going to go down let’s do it thumbing our noses at the stern, unyielding, priggish faces of our tormentors.

Take a look at the leaked trade agreement. What it does is, if enacted, gives corporations sovereignty over nations in economic matters. Call it the Jamie Dimon bill.

We've been busting back and forth about corporate hegemony and now this little beauty. Essentially an extension of some of the clauses in NAFTA, corporations could sue for damages due to anything from human rights to environmental legislation and it would be arbitrated by an appointed three judge panel (worse than the Roberts court). Yes sir, a real screwing.

So is Mittens going to oppose that? We know the Black Messiah will kneel to any corporation and in our hearts we know Mittens will also.

So what do we do, my brothers in the egg? Ignore it and focus on the phony war on terror or homo bashing or some abstract discussion of freedom while we get reamed?

Governor Olympics or The Black Messiah, either way you lose. I ask again, what do we do?

Obama is not my first choice for president, but that is irrelevant.

What really matters, as any American adult should know, is the tenuous balance of power of interests in our bipolar, bicameral, trilateral government.

If you think it's a good idea to return to a one party state, as we had during much of the last decade, then fine. Be a fuckin' idiot. Be like some silly amnesiac from an old soap opera.

A TRUE conservative would, back just a couple generations ago, much and by far prefer divided government.

It's a shame that isn't true anymore. Through most of our history, intelligent conservatives always thought that way. It seems they don't anymore. They want one party state radicalism. Ironic, huh?

That's true Jersey, but a couple of generations ago the difference between the parties could best be seen as a parallax view of the same destination. The arguments then were not about where to go, but how to get there.

Think of a pendulum. The closer to the pivot the shorter the distance it swings. When the radical left absconded with what was the Democratic party, it moved farther and farther from the fulcrum, increasing the length of the arc and requiring an equal movement in the other direction to preserve the balance, and protect the clock. So when you on the left decide that it's more important to preserve the mechanism than to have your own way we can return to peaceful coexistence. Meanwhile, we're not going to let you fly off into space and drag the country with you.

You see, we're actually trying to prevent one party state radicalism.

In the end Roosevelt fell far short of winning. He drew 4.1 million votes—27%, well behind Wilson's 42% but ahead of Taft's 23%. (6% went to Socialist Eugene Debs). He received 88 electoral votes, compared to 435 for Wilson and 8 for Taft.[11]

One can also argue that his running gave the election to Wilson, after all Republicans and ex-Republicans garnered 50% of the vote.

So, how effective was the Roosevelt-Taft split in terms of furthering their goals? Nil! You effectively prove my point... he didn't get elected, he didn't pull >33% of the vote.

As Lincoln said "A house divided against itself cannot stand".

The question isn't who can you vote for to prove your ideological purity, the question is who can you vote for that is going to be able to do the most good.

SF and I disagree on this one, but I would love to see a viable third party and a viable three-way race. At the minimum removing the possibility of a majority or super majority in either the house or senate would force at least some amount of compromise in the legislature.

Unfortunately, we're not there yet and I remain committed realist.

    Cheers!

  62. A Committed something.... that's for certain... "realism" has little to do with it.

  63. @"realism" has little to do with it

    Really?

Who do you think realistically has a chance of winning the next election and becoming president?

Hey, I'd love to have Gary Johnson in the oval office, but the odds are astronomical.

    Bet on long shots much?

    Win?

  65. No, your problem isn't with any imagining of election results, its with imaging what happens AFTER Romney becomes president.

You imagine his success in SOLVING the economic problem before us. I imagine his FAILURE and the consequences thereof.

Yours, therefor, is a failure of REALISM.

Romney and Obama BOTH FAIIL to see the "problem" that stems for excessice CORPORATE development that leads to PEOPLE becoming unemployed.

People cannot survive and have jobs in a realm of PERFECT CORPORATE EFFICIENCY.

    ReplyDelete
  66. ...and so if you were REALISTIC, you can't imagine anything positive stemming from a ROMNEY victory...and so would every other person who values REALISM.

In fact, you would inevitable conclude that Romney's failure will result in a socialist/ communist VICTORY in 2016.

  67. Whatever else he might, or might not be, we should remember that Jim Webbis –– despite his military bearing and youthful, clean-cut, All-American good looks –– a TURNCOAT –– a TRAITOR to the Republican Party.

I hasten to add that I too have to all intents and purposes left the Republican Party, because it's no longer a responsible voice for the espousal of Conservative-Libertarian ideals. But that doesn't mean I would ever, even consider becoming a member The Party of the Duped, the Damned, the Demented, the Dysfunctional, the Depraved, the Deprived, the Doctrinaire, the Disaffected and the DEMONIC.

Leaving the GOP to become a DemonRat is an offense less understandable –– and far less forgivable –– than grand larceny and felonious assault combined.

  68. Now, if you're finished listening to yourself talk...

Don't tell me what I imagine, I see Romney simply as a better alternative to four more years of Obama.

I also see that you don't have a candidate who can beat either, so you seem to be out of viable alternatives.

    ReplyDelete
  69. ...you won't be saying that Romney was the better choice in 2016 when America elects a hard Left president and Congress. Romney WILL fail. The country WILL. go into a depression. Romney thinks that more and greater corporatism is the solution, NOT the problem. They hoard and sit on money...they take no risks... and when they start laying off more and more people to reduce their expenses, instead of spending and investing...the American people will be willing to buy into the democrats directed BIG GOVERNMENT solution to the corporate "problem".... just like they have in Venezuela.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Romney is a short term non solution to a long term problem.

  71. ...and Jim Webb is. loyal to the demorat-republikkkan corporate protection coalition, no more, no less.

  72. "Romney and Obama BOTH FAIIL to see the "problem" that stems for excessice CORPORATE development that leads to PEOPLE becoming unemployed."

Alright, That's enough of this shit.. Clinton sent all your jobs to China(mainly), India, Mexico, and elsewhere you idiot. That's even plastered all over the internet if you're capable of entering a search term into google.

Show me 10 items in your supermarket that don't come from China. THEN show me how Corporate America is collecting profits from products coming from China.

    Good Lord.

And vote for obama again, who cares. I've already written off all the losers as obama voters.

  73. THEN show me how Corporate America is collecting profits from products coming from China.

Walmart isn't a corpration? Taget? Home Depot? Circuit City? Just about every mon and pop retail outlet in the USA has been replaced by a. Rmney controlled "Staples".

  74. In 1959 the Fortune 500 controlled 1/3 of GDP. In 2000, they controlled 2/3. When they control 100%... is THAT the point a5 which we should START to get worried.

Thanks for making my point. Clinton reduced American workers to pushing the CHINESE Goods all across America like two bit whores.

When a product comes from China where does the money go? Romney? Wal-Mart? Wal-mart gets their 5 cent cut and China gets the mother lode you moron.

Once again establishing the lack of education in America as the number 1 problem, and it's your heroes who are doing it to you.

You're a good little communist though.

Somebody makes a profit in America for supplying something you eat, drink, sleep in or stay out of the weather in and somehow THEY are evil. But it never crosses your childish brainwashed little mind that there might be something wrong with politicians reaping the real money, taking it from you without the benefit of you having a choice and providing NOTHING in return other than national defense (and now that's even debatable) Why is Pelosi worth 450 million. Why did she spend 100k a year stocking booze on her airplane.
What did she provide for you? "Get off fossil fuels and start using natural gas" "We have to pass the bill so we know what's in it"

and obama and the dems, 5 trillion in 3.5 years and Nothing to show for it. Most of it stolen, laundered out to the unions. You a union member? Good for you if you are and F you very much for Fg the rest of America.
    You're pathetic.

Get a grip. Like talking to 3 year olds with you people.

  76. Corporate cash reserves are in the trillions, and at the highest levels ever... and they did't get that big by marking up Chinese goods a measly 5% MORON.

  77. The economy is out of balance. LARGE corporations are the PROBLEM. We need lots and lots of SMALLER family and individual owned businesses, and less and less corporate bureacratic salaried DRONES. We need people to risk and invest INSTEAD of corporate dronosh risk averse hedging of every conceivable future expenditure.

  78. Cut you socialism umbilical cord Kid... embrace the free market and step out from under the shadow of government guaranteed crony capitalism.

  79. FJ. Just say you're incapable of having an intelligent conversation and leave it at that.

And good luck wid dat if you commies put capitalism out of business. Here's a bit of advice though. If you find yourself standing in line for a common everyday product while you're waiting 6 months to see a doctor about your cancer, my advice is to keep your mouth shut and not start bitching about it, because if it's to me, I'm gonna lay you out on the spot.

And knowing your next comment, my reply is: the fact that I don't want to type reality all day in response to you parroting out the propaganda you've been given in now way suggests you're right about any of it.

I got better things to do than argue with communist brainwashed idiots.

Wanna see how well socialism works when government takes over. Watch Greece in the near term, Spain and Italy, and Portugal over the next few years as those parasites wear out their welcome with countries like Germany who are only going to be willing-or able- to help drug addicts for so long.

    Spew on. and F you.

  80. The fact that you think that I'm a leftist should tell you just how f'n STUPID you f'n ARE. You are the walking talking epitome of the stupid republican. Like Romney, you are oblivious to the real economic problem facing America. This is WHY Romney winning in 2012 ISN'T going to fix Jack Sh*t and WHY the American people will elect a FULL BLOWN COMMIE in 2016!

You are a DISGRACE to the free market.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Fj, you make some very cogent points here. As a Randian capitalist your remarks about cronyism ring true, although there is no such thing as "crony capitalism" as the words are contradictory. It was a while before I recognized the error myself.

Some of the biggest offenders of taking advantage of government welfare are large corporations and the " pull peddlers " they employ.

    1. Rational Nation, Perfection isn't possible. It bothers me not that capitalists actually make profits and some of them eve make a lot more than what any of us might consider 'fair'.

Fair is a word tat cause more harm than good. Maybe Fair should be a valid concept in school, but once people are in the business world as owners, or workers, fair is a negative concept. Letting the best excel is what causes us to have the best customer service and the best products at the best prices resulting in the best standard of living in the world. Exactly, it's not fair and shouldn't be.

Fj has a problem with people making money who actually provide those things in my life and all of our lives that we value. If anyone disagrees... politicians on the other hand provide nothing I value outside of national defense at the federal level. At the local level, you have roads, services, etc that are paid for through local taxes and property taxes. I have no problem with things going on at the local level. If the locals screw up, I can easily move. If the federals screw up, which they've been doing starting in a major way with LBJ, then I can't avoid it unless I move out of country. There aren't many good places to go and live out of country, and why should I be put in that position.

We have all of the things in place that would guarantee America stays the best place to live, but little communists like FJ come along crying like a baby that someone has more than him and vote for politicians who control the population like those who the first Americans risked death to get away from and start this country.

In short I'm not worried about profiteering capitalists. THEY can't live without me buying their products and services. There is a natural unavoidable checks and balances there. I can't avoid the oppressive government that these people support. They don't need me, they can do what they want and have done so to amazing levels since obama and the dems were given enough power to make it happen.

  82. I have absolutely NO probelm with people making money and profits. What I have a probelm with is when corporate drones Layoff people and put BILLIONS in the bank (out of circulation)'so that they can purchase other corporate shells INSTEAD of producing products and making profits. People investing their own money aren't THAT stupid. There is nearly $2 trillion currently out of circulation at the present time, precisely for those reasons. Corporations either need to disburse those funds to their shareholders as DIVIDENDS, or get the 'f out of business. Those corporations are,n't part of the solution, they ARE the problem. Money OUT of circulation is of no use to ANYONE.

  83. Tell your friends at AAPL to PAY SOME FRICKIN DIVIDENDS so that their profits get SPENT instead of horded.

  84. And the USA bailing out GM IS crony capitalism. Saving GM and Chrysler at Ford's expense is both irresponsible and, IMO, CRIMINAL.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Corporations like GM and AIG are considered too big to fail. If THAT is true, we need to ensure that corporations NEVER exceed a size.. say worth $20 billion.

There need to be LIMITS to corporate size... and THAT needs to include corporations controlling OTHER corporations? There also need to be limits to corporate competition with small independent busines owners. They should be prohibitted from participating in RETAIL operations.

  87. Where Does Romney Stand6/17/12, 4:10 PM

How can you vote for someone who will not say what he plans to do?
Saw him on national TV today.
He gave no specifics on how he would put everyone back to work, or cut the debt. He refused to answer questions about immigration.
I can only give a guy my consideration, if he tells me his ideas and specific plans

  88. Because I've seen the alternative. Romney understands economics, Obama does not

  89. Where Does Romney Stand6/17/12, 4:25 PM

    I know where Obama stands
I have no clue about Romney
Your answer might be good enough for you (and millions more who will vote for Romney not knowing what he will do) but not for me.
Part of our problem, is to many people voting without knowing, or demanding to know what their candidate is going to do.
I did not vote for Obama, for the same reason.
