Now, back to our regularly scheduled blogpost...
GOP Women for Obama: A Campaign of Lies
Obama has rolled out his "GOP Women for Obama," ad, but like much from this president and the Democracked party, there's one little problem: It's a lie.
Liar #1:
Her name is Maria Ciano, and BuzzFeed finds that she has been a registered Democrat in Colorado at least since 2006. Here she is in the Obama ad. She is easy to spot in the ad because she wears braces. (Fake Republican Women for Obama)Liar #2:
The women in the video aren’t named, but she is Delia Ciano–none other than Maria Ciano’s mother. Her Facebook page, like her daughter’s, is revealing. She put up a link to the Obama video and writes, “Maria and I are part of this video. I hope you watch.”The woman also gushes about meeting with Michelle Obama on one of her many visits to Denver, and calls Republicans “idiots.” Go look at the bling and the comments on her facebook page. She’s no Republican.
(Fake Republican Women for Obama)
But the Obama campaign describes Ms. Ciano as a “Republican Woman!” Right. There are liars; there are compulsive liars; and then there is the Obama campaign. For extra credit, you can read this fact check of Paul Ryan's speech Forbes – Yes, Paul Ryan Told the Truth.

The leftwing mudball brigades are in a frenzy, so Ryan must be doing something right. As Ken Blackwell says, dogs don't chase parked cars.
I'd watch DNC 2012 except that this is my first week back to teaching classes for the new term.
ReplyDeleteMr. AOW will watch some of it and let me know what's going on.
Well, what can you expect from a man hoping to win reelection by ridding on the tattered and worn coat tails of Bill "Slick Willy" Clinton.
ReplyDeleteThere liars, there are compulsive liars, and then there are pathological liars. Both major parties have their share of the latter.

ReplyDeleteI don't plan on watching one minute of the Democrat National Convention. Especially tonight's when Michelle ma belle will be telling us about how proud she is NOW that her hubby is King. I really don’t want to hear Obama bragging about how things are getting better and how he has fixed things like the 49 million folks on food stamps a record, or the 23 plus million folks who are unemployed, and that the GOP wants "dirtier air, dirtier water” and how he still needs another 4 years to add to his list of failures. Yes Obama/Biden should be proud of this record.
ReplyDeleteThey are pathetic and desperate, and still playing the blame game.
I personally prefer watching old Clint Eastwood reruns
No one seems to care if the dems lie. Par for the course.
ReplyDeleteNo one seems to care that both major parties lie. It is obvious because like good water carriers they keep buying the same crap then voting for the same theives. Comical really. If it weren't so sad.
ReplyDeleteAll politicians lie.
ReplyDeleteYes, even your precious Gary Johnson.
All humans lie.
NO politician can survive without lying, because

ReplyDeleteFT: Please refrain from gratuitous vulgarities.
ReplyDeleteRational Nation USA , why is it that you can't write one comment without pissing off someone off from Liberal to Progressive's to Conservatives, you seem to always be so freakin argumentative.
ReplyDeleteThe state-run media are such liars. Does anyone remember the story a few days back about Ryan’s former girlfriend? If you subtract the unspoken racism, why should anyone have an interest in this woman or the fact that she stole from a department store? We must not be surprised: the media did a similar hatchet job (or tried) on Bush. What we didn’t hear anything about was Obama shoving a ton of coke up his nose and his made up stores about girlfriends. The left are degenerate.
ReplyDelete@ The Untold Story... Call it, well, calling it as I see it. I find it quite liberating carrying no water. I decided quite some time ago that no major party candidate will get my vote. They have screwed America every which way from Sunday and they keep doing it. With a smile. So my response is to vote for the minor party condidate that has the intellect, common sense, relevant experience, and truly stands for liberty. Right now that man is Gary Johnson in my never humble opinion
ReplyDeleteDon't mean to be argumentative, just calling em as I see em.
I wonder if the Democrats will celebrate one of their crowning achievements during the convention. The debt will exceed 16 trillion and that is something Obama can take credit for.
ReplyDeleteSee I recognize achievement even if it is Obama's
Ah, the smearing begins. After a week of lies by the RNC with no bump in the polls afterwards, The right has to go after private citizens.
ReplyDeleteWe are all better off:
ReplyDeleteObama prevented a depression, saved Banks, saved the auto industry, created more jobs in his first two years than Bush did in eight years. Had the GOP not filibustered in record numbers all the jobs bills the Dems proposed, unemployment would be much lower. If the GOP hadn't laid off millions of jobs in the public sector (Police, Teachers, Fire Fighters) our unemployment rate would be lower. The GOP won the House on 2010 on the jobs issue yet they haven't proposed a single bill.
Bush increased our debt by over $5 trillion with the items he kept off the budget and unpaid for; the two wars (one was illegal), Medicaid Part D, and tax breaks for the wealthy. Obama put them in the budget. That's how the GOP can now lie and say it's his fault!
Obama Killed Osama, desecrated Al Queda, led a coalition that killed Khadaffi, reformed student loans, increased TAP/Pell grants for students, slowed immigration, put more money into border security than Bush and deported more illegals than Bush, signed the Lilly Ledbetter law granting equal pay for women, credit card reform, ended 'Don't Ask Don't Tell,' Provided many tax incentives and breaks for small businesses and DID NOT raise taxes on the middle class.
But the biggest; passed Health Care Reform after over 100 of trying. Insurance companies can't drop you or deny you coverage and the CBO says it will save us billions over time. Do we really want to go back to a time where you have to hold a Spaghetti Dinner at the local VFV Lodge to pay for a family member's treatments so you don't have to sell your house?
Romeny/Ryan's plan is more of the same failed policies of Bush with even more tax breaks for the wealthiest whose tax rate is what it was in the 1950's. They will raise taxes on the middle class and take away services such as Medicaid and Medicare to pay for it. Not to mention allow our infrastructure to fall apart.
Believe what you will with all the conservative radio (and it's 90% of radio)and Fox News but they are lying to you and they are shills for big business. Hell, they actually got average Americans hating other Americans because they are poor or worse; in a big, bad union. Uniosn have helped all workers in the USA. Most people are closer to these people than the Mitt Romney's in this country.
Romney gave McCain 22 years of tax statements when he was being considered for Vice President in 2008. McCain picked Palin. What does that tell you? When asked if Reid was lying (about his statement that Romney hasn't paid taxes in 10 years) McCain refused to answer.
The GOP will finish the job of destroying the middle class. And they will start another war in Iran and sacrifice more Americans to increase the profit margin of the Corporatocracy.
Sorry!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was being witty.

This is awesome
ReplyDelete... the difference between Dems and Rethugs
Anyone else hear the rumor that the Dems secret guest speaker is Betty White?
ReplyDeleteI've seen the picture of her interviewing Romney's empty throne.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...Betty White, Clint Eastwood, Betty White, Clint Eastwood, Betty White, Clint Eastwood....
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go out on a whim and say most Americans would take Clint Eastwood over Betty White any day.
Liberalmann: your cut and paste fantasies make the homeless and unemployed feel so much better about President Obama...
ReplyDeleteIn over 200 years this nation has accumulated $16 trillion in debt. Obama incurred 1/3 of it in only 4 years. That's his singular accomplishment.
I'm listening to the rerun of Julian Castro (perfect for the name of a rising star in the Dem party, huh?..Castro?)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, he talked about how Obama brought jobs home: WHEN and WHERE? WHO???
@Liberalmann...
ReplyDeleteAnd if you look real closely, in a darkened room, you can see him shoot rainbows out of his ass.
Give us a break with the pathetic apotheosis, you're drooling.
Silverfiddle: read
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_United_States_public_debt#Federal_spending.2C_federal_debt.2C_and_GDP
and watch Reagan nearly double the national debt in 4 years from 1 to 1.8 trillion. Can you really call Obama's contribution "singular"?
I've no idea what Obama's fiscal performance is like, I only read right-wing blogs. Debt management is just one element, and any Keynesian obviously has other priorities following a market crash.

ReplyDelete"the value of REAL ESTATE continued to rise exponentially"
I can't believe you'd publicly argue that's a good thing! Oh I can see why you liked it on a personal level, but for those of us who aren't naturally approaching our twilight, it's killing us. Can't you see how the house-price inflation contributes to...
"Homelessness is increasing to alarming -- threatening -- proportions."
"A return to the Gold Standard and laissez-faire Capitalism would be our only hope of not following Europe in the Abyss."
As a keen student of Winston Churchill, you should be aware that he considered Britain's return to the Gold Standard in the mid-1920s over which he presided as Chancellor of the Exchequer to have been the greatest mistake of his life. There's some stiff competition, but as it was a significant cause of the Great Depression I can probably agree with him.
Laissez-faire capitalism must make things worse (through "market corrections", a euphemistic term for widespread hardship) before it makes them better, if it ever does. I wonder if it would?
Critical Theory at work again.
ReplyDeleteBORING!
I won't play YOUR "game," Jez.

If you're happy talking shit, don't let me stop you. I operate on the assumption that people want to avoid that, look how wrong I am.
ReplyDeleteThe reason you are poor is because he is rich. That is the Obama and democrat theme.
ReplyDeleteMost leaders in the past, including Clinton, have tried to inspire the American people to do better.
Obama is quite the reverse because he says why try, everything is against you and we will take care of your needs.
You are poor because he is rich.
I guess that is all you can expect from a picnic planner
Jez: We're all aware of Reagan's record. He did almost double the debt, but he also expanded the economy by over 1/3, lowered interest rates, unemployment and inflation. Ad a bonus (some don't credit him for this, but it happened) the evil empire collapsed.
ReplyDeleteSo, we got something in return for his un-conservative expansion of government.
Obama has blown $6 trillion with nothing to show for it but government money flushed down failed "green energy" toilets, near-worthless GM stock, a devalued dollar, a flat economy and persistent unemployment.
Obama's accomplishments are singular. He's worse than Carter, and that's saying something.
