Seo sláinte an tséitéara, an ghadaí, an trodaí, agus an óltóra! Má dhéanann tu séitéireacht, go ndéana tú séitéireacht ar an mbás, Má ghoideann tú, go ngoide tú croí mná;
Má throideann tú, go dtroide tú i leith do bhráthar, Agus má ólann tú, go n-óla tú liom féin.
This is on my workout que on my iPod! LOL! My mother was from County Cork! (Daddy was a Cherokee). Need me a good fighting song to get my blood going! I wish I could fiddle that well!

A Scotsman would probably gut me like a fish for suggesting that, but again, my ignorance of the subject is vast...
SF: I realize I mixed up Scottish and Irish Gaelic, but aren't they kissing cousins?
ReplyDeleteYes. Both derive from Old Irish along with Manx, as their cousins Welsh, Cornish and Breton were from the original British.
OK, if this blog goes all Gaelic all the time, I'm outta here
ReplyDeleteYou might not prefer the alternatives ;)
