Non-partisan joke...or is it a bi-partisan joke?  

One thing we know is that come next year we're going to have a sexual harasser in the White House, we just don't know if he's going to be in the East Wing or the West Wing.

All I can say is that this election cycle has given me a greater appreciation of monarchy.

Well, there is only a week left... what are your current predictions?

I'm gonna bet on green and throw it to the House.



 

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't

On one hand he could be accused of attempting to influence the election by his release of information regarding newly discovered Clinton emails, on the other hand he could be accused of attempting to influence the election by covering up information regarding newly discovered Clinton emails. It is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, certainly a situation none of us would want to be put in.  The question is... did he make the right decision?  First some assumptions:

1. There are a large number of emails, some reports state tens of thousands.  If it were a small number they would already know what is in them and this would (should) be a non-issue.

2. They do not know the contents of all the emails. (See 1. above).

Given those two conditions, in his place, what would you do and why?

Tomorrow in the Indiana primary 57 delegates are up for grabs in a winner take all competition.  It won't finally settle things but it will certainly be a good indication of how things in the remaining primaries may go.

We're well into the election cycle so dust off your crystal balls and make your pronouncements.  Will Trump get enough delegates to clinch the first round vote?  If not, what do you think is going to happen.  Do you think that anything can stop the Clinton machine short of a felony indictment?

Bernie Sanders has won eight of the last nine primary contests by double digits, but Clinton still came out on top with more delegates. This is primarily because of the Democratic Party’s superdelegate system, which has come under harsh condemnation in this election for being thoroughly undemocratic. This unelected party nobility, which overwhelmingly backs Hillary Clinton, entrenches establishment politics and can undermine the candidate democratically chosen by the party’s mass base.

Full Right Rudder?

To the surprise of most, Britain's conservative party was swept into a full majority by English Voters with 331 seats in parliament, Labor fell to 232 and the Liberal-Democrats lost big, retaining only 8 seats out of a previous 57.

Once again the pollsters blew it, all predictions were a neck to neck race possibly leading to a crisis in attempts to form a majority coalition and a hung parliament. 

The question then is... can American conservatives mirror their British cousins performance in 2016?

Down to the Wire

As the election draws closer it seems Republicans are up in Colorado, Iowa, Georgia, Alaska, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Arkansas in the Senate race.  

The NYT give Republicans a 68% 70% chance of taking the Senate while The Washington Post gives them a 96% 97% chance, and now CNN is giving them a 95% chance. 

I wrote this article on Sunday, I've updated the forecasts and added CNN on Monday and left in the previous number just to illustrate the continuous state of flux.

Yesterday Nancy Pelosi warned this election could be a catastrophe for Democrats... of course she was trying to raise money.  What are your thoughts?

Good News, America!

Liberals are hooting and trumpeting the big union win in Ohio, where voters overwhelmingly gave public sector unions the green light to continue raping them until the state goes bankrupt, but they ignore that these same voters also overwhelmingly rejected Obamacare.

And the GOP Takeover of the Virginia legislature and senate was another voter-administered slap to President Obama and the Democrats.    

Nile Gardiner, America-observing Brit, observes: Barack Obama is facing an anti-big government revolution.

...from Gallup, has conservatives in America now outnumbering liberals by a two-to-one margin.

Thirty-one percent of Americans in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll are downright angry at the way the federal government works, a record in polling back to 1992. Add in those who are merely dissatisfied and the total soars to 80 percent, one point from its high 19 years ago.

According to The Post/ABC survey, a staggering 89 per cent of Americans now say the economy is in “bad shape”, with nearly half calling it “poor”; 61 per cent of respondents disapprove of Obama’s handling of the economy, with 48 per cent strongly disapproving.

Yes, America, Obama's job is almost complete.  Now if the GOP can just get its act together...
