Ask Comandante Obama

Blogmocracy
What if Obama took another cue from Hugo Chavez and started hosting his own TV show?

Frank J Fleming, the founder of IMAO has a book out and has been making the rounds. He’s a cross between Dave Barry and P.J. O’Rourke. His most famous essay is Nuke the Moon, “A Realistic Plan for World Peace.” I’ve been a fan of his since 2003. It was pretty cool hearing him interviewed on The Michael Medved show.

His blog posts are often bullet lists of quick-hit thoughts such as this one:
“What I hate most about Obama’s kill list is that he’s hogging all the choosing who dies. I want to pick some!”
It gave me a great idea. Obama could have his own weekly TV Show, like Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, call it “Ask Dear Leader” or something like that. People could call in and ask him about drug use and how to start your own choom gang, identity politics and basketball tournament brackets.

He could lecture us on improving communities based upon his "successful" efforts in crime-riddled Chicago, or regale us with tense stories of eating popcorn in the situation room while real men grimly and professionally carried out his orders.

Imagine his O-ness, teleprompters at the ready, taking phone calls live on the air from ordinary proles:
Caller:  Hey Uncle Obama, gimme summa those Obamabucks you got in your stash!
Prez:  Do you own a green company?
Caller:  Commandante, is driving a bus a green job?
Prez:  "Why sure it is!" In fact, every one of those passengers on your green bus is counted as a job saved!
"Pick the Target"

A special feature of the show could be “Pick the Target: You be the President,” where a lucky citizen could help El Presidente select the next target for extra-judicial killing. Imagine the fun! One of King Obama's ordinary subjects shuffling through a card deck of bad guys, maybe there could be a bonus if the person picked happens to be a US citizen.

Perhaps a few times a year the White House could make it extra-special by letting the lucky participant pull the trigger. Maybe once a year they could pick one of the previous winners to actually fly in the Batcopter with the President and VP Biden as they swoop down into a terrorist compound a kill a perp with their bare hands!

What do you think? I’d like to hear your ideas for making Comandante O’s television program an entertainment success!

No they wouldn't, they can only make fun out of Republicans. Mormons, etc.
People in their own party are off limits.
And as for Ducky's here, he is a hopeless case anyway.

Well, if Zero wants to emulate Hugo, I have some advice:

1.) Zero needs to improve his singing voice. Hugo is pretty good. since Zero probably doesn't like our national anthem, he could sing protest songs of Joan Baez.

2.) Zero needs tp practice his street language skills. He needs to be vulger when refering to the oligarchs, the rich.

3.) Zero needs to pick a godfather figure who he can quote incessantly. Hugo has Fidel Castro. Zero might want to pick UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon.

4.) Zero could annouce each week how many more citizens are receiveing welfare checks and how many more unwed mothers are receiving his assistance.

Well, you get the picture.

@ My Conservative Thoughts: And I think that what happened with Fast & Furious was not only a crime but an outrage, and while I think Holder's much more involved than is suspected, like being held responsible for the murder of Brian Terry

Amen!

And thank you for the fulsome praise! I'm humbled, although I wouldn't call Shaw a pos. She and others like her are in the thrall of their hero and it blinds them to reality and objectivity. I don't understand it.

To make themselves feel better, the latch on to such cotton candy fluff and jump around all giddy from the sugar high, but find themselves unable to intellectually defend their positions. It's a sad place to be.

Let's make it a radio show, Obama has a face for radio.

If this your idea of a "great" idea, then stick to sniveling and whining about how much of a victim you are. You're not very good at this either, but you clearly do not have an idea of what "great" is.

Can someone point me to an example of a conservative humor podcast?

Something that would be a right wing equivalent of say KCRW's Le Show.

I maintain they don't exist. Conservative humor is an oxymoron but I'm willing to be proven wrong.

I suspect Anne Coulter passes for humor in the conservative world.

1. We're not victims, we're libertarians, I think you have us confused with democratic voters.

2. If that were my picture I'd leave Ann Coulter alone...glass houses and all.

Cheers!

The Libs/Progressive's are already playing the blame game and the compassion game . Like what wast worse, the Fast & Furious Scandal or the Watergate Scandal?

Holder & Obama do not get a free pass because Bush did some bad things. They will have to be held accountable. Hundreds of innocents, including an American Border Patrol Agent, have been slaughtered.
No one died because of Watergate. Fast and Furious is much worse

Yeah, I find it entertaining when sniveling whiners accuse other of sniveling and whining...

communists and progressives are one and the same . . .Very much the same. The spawn of hell. The major difference between progressives and communists: progressives are elitists. They will control everything. Commies are the peons.

viburnum said...

I think the show needs a "True Confessions" segment where various administration officials appear and actually tell the truth about scandals like Fast and Furious, Solyndra, all the leaks of classified information, etc.

Of course, that would probably lead to an early cancellation of the show's season. Certainly not later than November 6th. ;-)

I totally agree with you and *most* of your commentors , and the thing I'm worried about is the followers of Ron Paul. Apparently many of them have said that they would rather vote for Obama than Romney! That's insane, and that could hurt our party....

Z said...

Donna is so right...I don't really care how it hurts our party, however; I care greatly how it will hurt our country. Conservatives who feel "more conservative" than we are and who don't understand the process, may just sit home (again) and lose the election to Obama (again)...
unreal

I think one show should follow michelle around as she consults with her 22 assistants regards what to say about anything or what and where to have lunch, or which belt will look best around the upper half of her torso.

Then another show should be obama practicing speaking without a teleprompter and avoiding quoting Karl Marx at the same time.

How about an entire show devoted to releasing the names and addresses of all special operations people in our military.

How about a show where biden talks and obama sits and splits a gut at everything he says.

How about a silent movie theme show where obama, reid, pelosi, and biden sit around grinning and rubbing their paw together.

How about a lesson in how to talk like obama in one easy lesson. -looking from side to side with a peeved Erkle face
-the 2-3 inflections he uses at the beginning and end of each sentence.

If he had more talent, I'd have more ideas.

Bob Smiley's book 'Don't Mess with Travis' is pretty funny too. Hard to go wrong when you can pluck your cast of characters right out of the beltway. Names changed of course to protect the obvious.

Z said...

Ducky, Miller's hilarious now...you just can't appreciate the humor because it's aimed at the left.
It's that way with most political humor for both sides.

Viburnum, so did you finish the book and you enjoyed the whole thing? I want to tell Bob :-)

viburnum said...

@Z

I did, and loved it. Read 2/3's of it on Sunday but couldn't get back to finish it until Wed night. Very good, very funny and very much needed. Ducky does have a point. We need more comedians. Sometimes the best way to get people to think is to get them to laugh.

Z said...

Viburnum, I sent your review to Smiley's friend and she just emailed that she's sending it to him. thanks!
Also, re conservative humor; we have to start that. You ought to see an LA Times cartoon called LA CUCARACHA..it's SO anti Conservative and seen as 'humor'...it's so insulting it almost makes the cartoonist look a little stupid and there's so much WE could do, but we don't!

Great post SF and I see some very good comments here.May I add that Progressives doing what they do best: make stuff up! And they are running scared now, very scared.

You said it best with your comment on my blog.
"They are panicking, and like a scared animal, liberals will become dangerous as their messiah sinks in the polls.

I predict we will see more and more outlandish displays of leftwingkookiness and unhinged, foam at the mouth madness before it's all over."

Silverfiddle said...

@ Donna: ... the thing I'm worried about is the followers of Ron Paul. Apparently many of them have said that they would rather vote for Obama than Romney!

Many of his followers were never conservatives. They were 911 troofer, US is evil, OWS types.

Without his anti-war stance and constantly bawling "no more wars!" he would have drawn a tenth of the still small percentage he actually got.
