I stumbled across the following article on truthout and thought I'd share it:

Yes Virginia, Obama and the Democrats are Mussolini-Style Corporatists, Just Like the Republicans.

Some highlights below, but I heartily recommend reading the entire article.

There is an entire large, well funded, and extremely effective business apparatus that extracts lucrative programs, explicit subsidies, guarantees, and various other gimmies from government bodies at all levels. 

One suspects the reason for the sensitivity within the ranks of the Democratic party water-carriers to the “corporatist” label is that Obamacare is a textbook case. 

Obama’s incentives are to come up with “solutions” that paper over problems, avoid meaningful conflict with the industry, minimize complaints, and restore the old practice of using leverage and investment gains to cover up stagnation in worker incomes. 

As I've been saying, the only difference between R's and D's is window dressing.  While I don't think I'll ever be in agreement with the folks over at truthout as to a solution, recognizing the problem is a good first step.

There Will be Mud

The Democrats are in deep doo doo.  The two-year hopium-induced progressive-palooza angered the electorate and resulted in Republicans retaking the house.  Decisively.  The senate is next, and they risk losing the presidency as well.

Signs of Democrat desperation are everywhere.  Rushing to embrace the stinking anti-capitalist agglomeration of street bums, latte leftists, liberal arts students, anarchists and assorted weirdos squatting in fetid tent camps is just their latest act of desperation.  Identifying with sweaty mobs who attack police, smash windows and rail against the Jews will not help them.  Even Joe Biden threatening more rapes and murders only moved Obama's public opinion needle lower.

The Democrat Party:  Old, Tired, Gray, Yesterday...

I said it years ago, and we're seeing it play out now. Obama is all the Democrats have.  The group picture of the Democrat political headliners looks like a Halloween display.

The Democrat party is spilling over with grotesque freaks (Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Michael Moore), angry jackasses (Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Franken), criminals (Charlie Rangel, Rod Balgojevich, William Jefferson, Anthony Wiener) or grumpy anonymi (Harry Reid, Carl Levin, Dick Durban).

The states and cities Democrats control are putrid sinkholes of corruption and economic collapse.  Liberal mayors who vowed to be "down with the struggle," are now trapped between losing cred by cleaning up the violent, unsanitary rabble that is destroying their cities, or letting them rant and rage unmolested.

Obama's All They Got

The sagging, aging Democrat party hung its fortunes on the youthful and handsome Barack Obama. He was clean and articulate, his speech was free of ethnic dialect.  He was the last hope for the intellectually and morally bankrupt statists. The dems had slept their way to the top with Wall Street; exchanging their mantle of virtue for a see-through nightie, and it ain't pretty what's underneath.

As Barack Obama goes, so goes the Democrat party, so we're hearing talk about how tough he is.  How he shot Bin Laden, bravely bombed all those brown people in south Asia, and put Khadaffi on the run, personally ordering him to be beaten, dragged through the streets, sodomized with a chunk of rebar, and killed.

You know they're desperate when the Obama sycophants churn out laughable playground smack like this:

Obama likes to get into people’s heads. It might be a coincidence that Obama called Texas Gov. Rick Perry about the wildfires in the Lone Star State just hours before Perry was participating in his first debate. And it might not.

On the golf course, on the basketball court and even in the Cabinet Room, the president has shown repeatedly that he is a mindfreak, to use a term from the basketball courts. (Sam Youngman - I Want to be Obama's Love Slave)

When Obama goes down, they all go down...

“It didn’t have to be this way,” said another House Democrat who requested anonymity in order to speak candidly. “Obama’s presidency has fizzled. It’s going to be every person for himself in 2012. There just won’t be any coattails, and any effect he does have on the ballot will hurt us.” (Politico)

Left Blogistanis still cheer one another by pointing to polls showing that Americans hate the Republican party. Well, it’s worse than that for democrats: America hates their policies, their legislation, their progressive wealth-destroying monstrosities, and their anti-liberty philosophy.  Americans hate big government.  Obamacare is a carcass rotting in the sun. The stink swells as time goes on.

All they have left is fear and smear. There will be mud

Delusional Democrats

Jack Camwell over at Christian Fearing God Man wrote a succinct and on-target post about how delusional Democrats are, even in the face of so many electoral losses.

It's all been downhill since the coronation of the ObaMessiah and the ensuing two-year liberal bacchanalia.  The Hopium hangover is hard to shake...

Anyway, Jack wrote this great post about how the democrat party obstinately refuses to recognize the will of the people, even in the aftermath of the momentous 2010 electoral pimp slap the American people administered to them. The subsequent special election losing streak is just the icing on the cake...

I'm sure they'll say that this is all meaningless, that the American people still believe in whatever horseshit the Democrats have been shovelling.

As if on cue, raving liberal Jersey McJones stepped in with a foul-mouthed rant blaming all of our problems on... wait for it... George Bush and the Republicans! He sums up his vulgar and vapid missive with that great old standard from the liberal hymnal... "... the American people are so f#&%ing stupid..."

That's right.  We're too stupid to see the brilliance of progressive statist programs that have flushed this country down the toilet...

My Advice to Jersey and other Democrats

Yes, by all means, write Obama and tell him to keep it up! Tell him and the democrats in congress to double down! triple down! Quadruple down! Demand that the next stimulus be ten trillion! Let a thousand Solyndras bloom!

Bearded crapweasel Paul Krugman can be the finance czar overseeing Obama's Great Depression II.  Kick off the 2012 campaign by telling ordinary Americans they are too stupid to understand the brilliance of Obama and the Pelosicrats. Call us all stingy and hateful and continue to demand we "pay our fair share" so they can "spread it around."

Tell the Obama administration to not only continue screwing Boeing and the thousands of South Carolinians deprived of a job, but demand Obama close down every non-union business that has more than one employee.

Explain to us again how borrowing and spending more money so Obama can reward his friends and punish his enemies is a brilliant idea.

Hell, I'd contribute money to that Democrat campaign.

Desperate Democrats

Democrats:  Crazy?  Delusional?  or Successful?

The military calls it prepping the battlefield. If you're going to take over a country, you don’t just go in with ground forces.  You first soften things up by taking out industrial centers, intelligence nodes, and air defenses. Propaganda campaigns can also play a critical role.

Reading about the latest Dem strategies, I can only conclude that they believe they have adequately prepped the electoral battlefield. They have poked out the eyes of the voters, clogged our ears with BS, and so disoriented us that we now believe up is down and bad is good.

Senator Schumer is encouraging Democrats to talk about gas prices with their constituents

Democrats are being advised to emphasize high gas prices to their advantage when they go home for a weeklong break next week as they seek to counter GOP criticism levied at the Obama administration. (Politico)

Of course gas prices are higher, and Democrats are to blame!
Petroleum is a dollar-denominated commodity, so as the value of the dollar falls, the price of oil and gasoline climb. Thank you President Obama, Boy Wonder Geithner, and Big Ben Bernanke.

Obama restricting drilling permits on land and off-shore served to lower the supply, resulting in higher gas prices, and the democrats applauded.

Schumer and the dems are urging the president to tap the strategic oil reserved in order to drive gasoline prices down. This is encouraging because it demonstrates that these lefties at least understand the concept of supply and demand and the affect it has on prices.

Now if we can just get them to take the next leap, and and break down the regulatory wall that prevents new refineries from being built. While they are at it, they could also allow more drilling in the US.   If they believe unleashing the strategic reserve will lower prices, then they must agree that pumping more oil will have the same effect.  The Louisiana Lieutenant Governor, who just abandoned the Democratic party to become a Republican, cited Dem opposition to drilling as his reason for switching.

Dems Hope Union Battles Lure Back Independents

Are they crazy? The public unions have pitted themselves against the lower-wage taxpayer and it’s a zero-sum fight over who is more entitled to the loot--those who earned it or government bureaucrats.  Government workers enrich themselves by taking money directly from the pockets of the taxpaying citizen voter.  I don't know how they think this is going to work in their favor.

Either they're desperate or they are dangerously delusional.  Either way, if the GOP can keep it on the rails and actually roll out a coherent agenda, they might just get somewhere.

A Progressive Doomsday Device

Progressives are already snickering in giddy anticipation of the voter backlash against GOP budget cuts…

Read along with me what this little handmaiden of big government has to say...

Notice how the statist commentator steals the “drunk” analogy from those who apply it to big spenders, and now uses it against those wanting to stop the profligacy? Neat rhetorical trick.

But this is the operative part of the quote: “…deciding which voters will suffer what pain.”

We're All Crack Whores Now
That is the beautiful trap progressives built into their grand scheme. Spread it around, hand the government-issued crack cocaine out to everyone. Middle class parents whose children eat subsidize school lunches. Retirees with hundreds of thousands in retirement nesteggs who are conditioned to the idea of a monthly government check. Government-subsidized train travel. Education grants and cheap student loans…

It’s all bound so tightly, any scalpel wielding politician is bound to draw blood.  We’re all hooked. We’re crack whores who break out in the cold sweats every time we contemplate escaping Uncle Sugar the pimp daddy.

In the cold war movie Dr Strangelove, a rogue Air Force general launches bombers with no way to call them back in the hopes of nuking the Russkies before they can retaliate. His plan is foiled when the Russians declare they have a previously undisclosed “doomsday machine,” that will automatically launch all their nukes, there’s no way to stop it.

Statists have done the same with their progressive programs. Knife-wielders in green eyeshades find themselves lost in a funhouse maze, nowhere to turn, nowhere to cut where someone won’t scream in agony. The progressives have turned the goodie-dispensing federal government into a giant doomsday machine that will blow up in the faces of anyone trying to dismantle it. The big spenders can just sit back and chuckle as the slashers piss off more and more voters.

Defunding the Democratic Party

As the teachers unions abandon our kids and their schools to swarm Madison like a throbbing horde of third-world lunatics, liberal columnist Kevin Drum makes an excellent point.  He complains that Republicans who are dismantling government programs and cutting spending are “defunding the Democratic party.”

A brilliant observation!  Democrats have been buying votes with our tax dollars for the better part of 80 years now.  It’s time to put a stop to it.
