Mars One, a Dutch non-profit has received 78,000 applications in just two weeks from those willing to pick up and move to Mars... Forever.

America leads the way with 17,324 candidates followed by China and the UK, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Argentina, and India make up the rest of the top ten.

Whatever the final tally, this will be whittled down to 28-40 people split into four groups.  The first four are due to arrive at their destination in 2023 at a cost of 6 Billion.

So, who wants to go?  And why?
