Democrat Party Binders Full of Stereotypes

So, let me get this straight.  Liberal Democrats love to bawl about the right's "War on Women," while calling us misogynistic cavemen.  Yet liberal democrats are the ones treating women like walking vaginas wanting to get their freak on while forcing the rest of America to foot the bill for their condoms, pills and abortions.

How condescendingly reductionist and demeaning is that?

Liberal Democrats are the ones objectifying and pornifying women, reducing beautiful and complex creatures  to feminist stereotypes, while simultaneously portraying them as helpless naifs in constant peril from the predations and dominance of paternalistic old men.   It's like one of those interminable Lifetime Network movies where the beautiful, beleaguered heroine is menaced by sinister men for four hours.  Doesn't sound very "Forward!" does it?

Obama has Jumped the Shark

Excellent bloggers like Bunkerville and AOW have covered that putrid Obama campaign video featuring the  young woman comparing voting for Obama to losing one's virginity.  They nailed it so completely, I don't need to cover it further, than to simply to say that the video is agenda-driven liberalism reductio ad absurdum.

I am heartened to see Romney has closed the gender gap.  A nation full of crazy women, horny for the president and squeezing themselves into the democrats' skin-tight, stereotypical agenda is a sad and scary thought.

The 'war on women' schtick is as petulant as the 'war on religion'. It's an age old example of dividing and usurping a specific demographic.

It shouldn't be an expected and integral part of our political process, but sadly we're stuck with it.

Cheer up CI. They're not getting over on all women.

The Obama campaign is completly out of ammunition. I refuse to believe they have have the right vision of who American women are.

I see that FT is in a limerick mood.

I admit it: I chuckled when I read both of FT's limericks posted in this comments thread.

About the virgins-vote-for-Obama ad: it's all about the big "O." Sheesh.

I, for one, don't go to the polls for a sexual experience. Furthermore, I find the big-O political ad and the Dems' waging of gender warfare a huge turnoff -- as well as a denigration of our political and election processes.

It does seem to me that this particular election season has been such a descent into the absurd and the disgusting.

And, as Silverfiddle has mentioned, the misogyny and the stereotyping of women harkens back to a time that I thought the civilized world had abrogated.

Always On Watch said...

On more thought...Sex appeal (I don't see Obama as appealing at all, but, hey, maybe that's just me) does not equal effective leadership in the political sphere. In fact, quite the opposite is often the usual.

Indeed, FreeThinke:

Is there anything sadder than a basement troll mope continuing to hang around after being continually and politely asked to leave?

She must be a masochist, to be so despised and ridiculed, yet she hangs in there for more.

Meanwhile, I beg your cooperation. Please do not feed the trolls!

It's cold where our little troll girl lives, and she has no job, so she can play her little pathetic games all day long, seeing as how there is nothing else in her sad, pathetic bottom-dwelling life.

Unlike her, I have a life, so some of her droppings will remain here until I can return home and disinfect.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

The political ad comparing voting for Obama to losing one's virginity is nothing new.

Ronald Reagan himself, not some surrogate, used explicitly sexual imagery when he did the exact same thing.

"Reagan also made a voting as first sexual experience joke, and his was dirtier. The Washington Post reported in November 1980 that Reagan, appearing at a 'working class bar' in New Jersey, used a sexual metaphor in an attempt to help longtime Democrats get over any hesitations they might have of switching over to the Republican Party:

"I know what it’s like to pull the Republican lever for the first time, because I used to be a Democrat myself, and I can tell you it only hurts for a minute and then it feels just great."

Y'all have selective memories:

Trying to use this one silly non-issue as "proof" that it is really the Dems who are anti-women is absurd. Especially when it is the GOP that proposed forced vaginal probes on women and that wants to institute government forced pregnancies on them as well--and it's the GOP who harbors nuts who believe pregnancies from rape are gifts from god and that a woman's body shuts down when she raped and, therefore, she cannot get pregnant.

The truth lies in what the GOP wants TO DO concerning women's issues, not what a silly campaign ad SAYS.

Bunkerville said...

This really demonstrates the view of women as vapid, "low information" creatures. Can't get much worse...wait it can. Thanks for the mention.

Silverfiddle said...

Shaw: Thank you. We can always count on you to bring the leftwing talking points. Where would you be without them?

Context: Reagan said it in a working class bar full of men.

The Democrats made it a cornerstone of their national get out the women vote campaign.

Liberal political operatives have a very crabbed view of women.

Do you really feel comfortable, being condescendingly cosseted by the Democrat party vote harvesters?

Jersey McJones said...

Nice try Les, but it just goes to show how little you understand women and the way they vote. This "paternalistic" claptrap is the same argument you guys make for why minorities mostly vote Democratic, but all you're doing is insulting a whole bunch of people, basically calling them suckers. Just like that sleazy, anti-American "47%" critique by Romney.

Nice try, but completely inept.

Women and minorities aren't as stupid as you cons obviously think.

Now where did my liberty stix get off to?

Nice try to you, Jersey. The liberal agenda and their grotesque and condescending depictions of women speak for themselves.

Perhaps Mitt Romney's rise with wymyn is that he can point to a record in Massachussetts where he set up Planned Parenthood to provide $50 co-pay abortions and directed his judicial branch to assist even 12 year olds to get a abortion over their parents / legal guardian's objections.

I wonder what the spin will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 21st, 2013 if somehow Romney wins the election and ends his first 24 hours as President and Obamacare is still in place.

Shaw Kenawe said...

"Do you really feel comfortable, being condescendingly cosseted by the Democrat party vote harvesters?"

Serious? From the party that tried to legislate vaginal probes? And from the party whose presidential nominee said he would be happy to sign legislation outlawing abortion--IOW, he would welcome government forced pregnancies for girls and women?

You're cute, do you know that?

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Shaw,

Romney would never outlaw abortion. You need to stop listening to what he says he would do, and pay attention to what he did when he had power.

Wymyn in Massachusetts can get taxpayer-subsidized abortions for a $50 co-pay, and entire state agencies devoted to ensuring access to abortions for minor-aged children over the objections of their parents because of Mitt Romney. Definitely not in spite of him.

I don't know what's more confusing to me - that people that like to call themselves "conservative" are rallying around Romney, or that the far left in America aren't dumping Obama for Romney's more compatible politics.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Hitler will host a documentary on the undeniable greatness of the Jewish people before Romney meaningfully reverses his pro-abortion views.

Shaw Kenawe said...

So, beamish, when Romney said he would be delighted to sign a bill outlawing abortion he was lying?

We've been explaining how Romney would say anything to anyone to gain the presidency, so, IOW, Romney's a lying snake. Do you really believe that the far righties understand how he's been jerking their chains for the last 6years?

LOL!

ABORTION IS MURDER.

PERIOD!

End of subject.

Silverfiddle said...

Shaw,

Yeah, I thought you'd dodge the question.

As I have previously stated, I am against "vaginal probes," but this is Progressive statism brought to its logical conclusion.

Jersey McJones said...

Silver and Divine (good to hear from you again, Divine!), women are concerned with their own bodies, just as men would be if we had babies. Women are also more acutely concerned with child care, elder care, and therefore the overall welfare of the society.

They are smarter than men when it comes to all those things we men take for granted, because we're too busy bitching over who's ideology is better than the others - or who can screw over people for money, though women are known to partake in that particular evil as well.

The point I'm making is that this sort of post will do NOTHING to convince any intelligent, wise, educated woman. I know. I'm married to a woman who graduated NUMBER ONE from her university.

@From the party that tried to legislate vaginal probes?

The party platform says nothing about ultrasounds, vaginal or otherwise.

“What’s stunning is watching the Democratic Party search in vain for any possible way to distract [voters] from the President’s record of 8.3% unemployment and $16 trillion in debt”

"There’s a wide gulf between a platform and what the candidates or the people in the party writ large actually believe in or espouse,” Brians said. “The Democratic platform has been positioned at the opposite end, advocating no restrictions on women’s access to abortions, which is equally a minority view in American politics."

Getting dizzy with all that spinning yet Shaw?

See? Even you, a man, condescend to a woman right here. Liberals...

Under Obama, more women are unemployed now than when he took office. So where is the real war on women?
