Get over it! Grow up and take it like a man like the rest of us do when something we cherish is insulted! That’s what we need to tell these murderous, fleck-spittle morons. To do anything less is to let tantrum-throwing three-year-olds with military armament dictate our words and actions. It’s insane.
Anything less is a capitulation and will only do more damage to liberty worldwide. As I said previously, the rampaging idiots hate us, and they will always find an excuse to slash, burn, bomb and murder.
Also, we should not be about bringing “freedom” to these benighted lands. It is up to the people who live there to shape their societies. A plain look at history and the world around us reveals what a malign influence Islam has on any society it gets in a chokehold. We see it, they see it, but they want it anyway, so why spend blood and money to try to dissuade them?
So one-sixth of the planet enjoys living in a toilet. Let them! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again...
They want Islam? Then we need to stand back and allow their conquering heroes to give it to them good and hard.

I agree. We need to pull all of our people out of their countries and let them kill and burn to their hearts content. There is no civilizing of these savages.
Savages....
now that's just raaaaaaccccciiiiiiissssssstttttttt!
Oh wait, no one said "Obama".. so I guess its okay.
Carry on.
I blogged a little about this today as well; Islam as compared to western culture...is inferior. Not by virtue of their faith or it's mainstream tenets, but by how they act upon their faith, and their actions against any competing social structures.
I don't have a problem with isolating Muslim communities/nations until they make the paradigm shift towards civilized behavior.
So what did we see here? What example of patriotism did our president and our Sec of State show the American people. Our Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama went to Vegas, to a fund-raiser and our brave and lying through her teeth Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton threw a party at State to celebrate the end of Ramadan with the LIBYAN AMBASSADOR, pity that OUR AMBASSADOR wasn’t able to attend ( oh right he’s Dead), and Our Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama wans’y able to meet with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu because of "scheduling problems" another apparent snub!
Somehow the brutal - and PREVENTABLE - death of the Ambassador and two former Navy SEALS and an information Officer were NOT considered important enough to suspend their planned parties either.. Both of these poor and lame excuses are disgusting and as Clint Eastwood would have said, if they are incompetent and if this was a business they would be fired. And the Liberal-Progressive bloggers continue to blog about Mitt Romney’s remark? How HYPOCRITICAL and just plain STUPID can they get?
I couldn't agree more. They insist on acting like fools and throwing deadly temper tantrums, so we should let them have at it. Remove ourselves from the region, except for supporting Israel. If they don't have us to attack, they will attack each other. That is a proven fact. We should stand back and let them go at it. We should also give them a very plain warning about what will happen, should they choose to export their violence.
Oh c'mon Ron Russell (Ralphie), can't you make up your own rant instead of copying and pasting one from Michael Barone on Lucianne.com?

Obama went to Vegas and Hilary threw a party at State to celebrate the end of Ramadan with the Libyan Ambassador - one month after the fact because of "scheduling problems"
Somehow the brutal - and PREVENTABLE - death of the Ambassador and two former Navy SEALS and an information Officer - were not considered important enough to suspend their planned parties.
I completely agree; we should not care one whit what these morons do in their own sandbox, although it must concern us when they attack sovereign US territory and murder our ambassadors. This would not happen if our leaders sent the right messages —if our leaders did not actually encourage such behavior. And let us stop repeating the lies about Islam. It is a cult, rather than a religion. And because it is not a religion, it cannot be a religion of peace.
Shaw is nothing if not consistent: always vile.
@Sam - I was on board with the first part of your statement, but I've never understood the value of calling Islam a cult. The typical divergence comes down to recognition by the state, but that doesn't really apply here. Some tangible differences could be illustrated, but Christianity was or is guilty of at least some of those some of those. So if we use those differences, would that mean that Christianity was a cult? Still could be?
If someone views their belief system as a religion, framing by an opposition doesn't really matter, excepting state recognition, which by our standards, treads another dicey road altogether.
I'm just curious about the foundation of such statements.
Amen to every word of your post!
Cut off every bit of aid to them. If they start up here, strike their "holy places.˝
I agree with you, CI … it doesn’t matter to Muslims what I happen to think about their religion —or shouldn’t matter. But the definition of cult does appear to pertain to Islam, incorporating “religious” beliefs, which are informal in the sense that Islam involves conflicting manifests, has involved a quest for power among squabbling sects since the moment of Mohammed’s death, and which contains elements of extremism, falsity, and is directed by charismatic, authoritarian leaders.
This classification would also appear to pertain to those who share these beliefs, particularly when such beliefs are misguided, unorthodox, extremist, or false.
A final proposition is that the word cult adequately defines a group of people who idolize someone through extreme or excessive behaviors.
I would tend to think that widespread demonstrations of violence as a response to an insult offered to Mohammed should qualify as “extreme and excessive.” We do not observe similar demonstrations whenever idiots place a crucifix of Jesus of Nazareth in a beaker of urine, even though most people found such behavior insulting, disgusting, and reprehensible. We seldom ever see Jews beheading people in the name of Jehovah.
To be fair, however, I am happy to extend my audacity to Jim Jones, and for the same reasons.
@Sam - Good points, and thank you for the response. I certainly don't compare Christianity to Islam, for the reasons you lay out; but is there a way ahead with Islam that is in our control? Labeling it a cult will not have, I believe, any effect on their actions or rhetoric....and while I am prone to supporting a commercial and cultural isolation of the parts of the Islamic world that engages in such actions....part of me wonders if that won't simply exacerbate the problem.
I've read many histories that have detailed the evolution of Christianity into what it largely is today, but I don't see that same dynamics in the Islamic world that would lead to the same. I keep hoping I'm missing something, but so far, I've been putting my faith in the McDonald's/Coca-Cola model of insurgency.
I'm wondering if Hillary still thinks that the people of Libya, are still highly Pro-United States ?
And another thing that boggles my mind, How about that movie about Barack Hussein killing Osama Bin Lidan? And his spiking the ball ?
Wasn't the Islammies pissed off about that one?
Yeah Osama is Dead and General Motors is alive. And our Ambassador in Libya is also dead. And Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is alive..
Obama should directly responsible for the death of those 4 people..as much as anyone else is
Remember this headline?
A U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter crashes in the southern Kandahar province, killing seven American troops and four Afghans on board; the Taliban claim they shot the aircraft down.
This happened right after Obama spiked the ball.
I agree with Jarhead; Obama is responsible. If these people feared the consequences of attacking, with impunity, a United States Embassy or harming any of its employees, such a thing wouldn’t happen. Obama and Clinton embolden the so-called brave men who hide in crowds through consistently inept policy. Clinton’s false outrage the other day actually sickened me. Like it or not, Barack Obama is a combat leader. We must hold him to the same standard of any other, who through wanton negligence causes the death of those under his charge.
I also agree with Jarhead, and to tell you the truth I feel that we are. a nation of spineless butt kissers now.
@CI
I agree; you are right to suggest a name-calling contest with imbeciles is futile. These people have the right to worship however they wish, even if I happen to think they are a cult, rather than a religion. As I said, what I think shouldn’t matter to anyone ... but what these people do not have the right to do is murder me because I happen not to agree with them.
Whenever high-ranking US officials refer to Islam as a religion of peace, they not only enable more of this unseemly behavior, they encourage it because in doing so, extremists understand there are no consequences to their conduct. No one focuses on our weaknesses more than an astute predator, which is Islam.
I also agree with CI re:
"I've never understood the value of calling Islam a cult..."
It's not my business to characterize someone else's religion, and I want to be clear that I aimed not at all Muslims, but that subset who resort to violence.
Muslims live freer here in the US than in any Muslim country, and that is something we should be proud of.
Egypt is radicalizing... and becoming a theocracy, like Iran in 79. This is the Sunni counter to the Iranian Shi'a. They're in a pissing contest for the title of "holier than thou" most deserving of running the caiiphate. The money to Egypt needs to get turned off... because this is the LAST time that Egypts "president" is going to protect an American anything.
The Brotherhood dug up this video from the Internet. The Brotherhood has an endless supply of American "insults to Islam" to turn out protesters with...JUST like the mullahs in Iran.
The "subset that resort to violence" is the ENTIRE set.
The moderate "Girondists" of Tahrir Square have LOST the struggle for leadership of the Revolution. The Jacobin's of the Brotherhood are in charge and the TERROR is starting.
America must now step back and LET the Sunni-Shi'a Civil War that's coming take place... and use OUR advantage, the ability to pick "winners" and "losers" in this Islamic Civil War for their "Reformation" play out. There will be MANY Arab "Crusades" and crusaders... we must back the "new Girondists" who emerge and not simple "react" to the Arab street.
Allowing an immigration "Exodus" from the region would NOT be to our advantage. If nothing else, we should encourage "Crusaders" to emmigrate back to their Holy lands.
America was already the Christian crusaders New Jerusalem. Africa, beware.
The fanatics will be given a direction to turn and expend their religious fervor, once their done with themselves, they WILL turn outward.
The world is "will to power" and nothing besides. You, too are this "will to power", and nothing besides.
Pretending that "profiling doesn't work" is STUPID. All it will do is get more non-Muslims KILLED.
I'm not to the point where we round them up and put them in camps, but we'd better have an FBI informant inside every mosque in America on Friday.
@FJ - "The "subset that resort to violence" is the ENTIRE set."
For this to be logical and true, wouldn't the entire set need to be shown as actually resorting to violence?
You truly have no clue
It's funny to read your garbage and watch an uneducated mind at work.
We should tell these knaves that the key to destroying America is increased Medicare spending.
For this to be logical and true, wouldn't the entire set need to be shown as actually resorting to violence?
If I wanted to quality check a manufacturing lot of light bulbs to see if they work, do I need to plug in 100%?
Or just randomly sample a few and calculate a "confidence" number.
Oh, sure, there may me one or two "Ghandi's" amongst the Islamicists... but does THAT disprove the larger point?
Uneducated in "what field", Stevie? Grammer? Elocution? Rhetoric?
Plato, "Cratylus"
SOCRATES: Son of Hipponicus, there is an ancient saying, that 'hard is the knowledge of the good.' And the knowledge of names is a great part of knowledge. If I had not been poor, I might have heard the fifty-drachma course of the great Prodicus, which is a complete education in grammar and language—these are his own words—and then I should have been at once able to answer your question about the correctness of names. But, indeed, I have only heard the single-drachma course, and therefore, I do not know the truth about such matters; I will, however, gladly assist you and Cratylus in the investigation of them. When he declares that your name is not really Hermogenes, I suspect that he is only making fun of you;—he means to say that you are no true son of Hermes, because you are always looking after a fortune and never in luck. But, as I was saying, there is a good deal of difficulty in this sort of knowledge, and therefore we had better leave the question open until we have heard both sides.
If I wanted to quality check a manufacturing lot of light bulbs to see if they work, do I need to plug in 100%?
Do they even make pro-American light bulbs anymore?
...and real question is... if they DON'T work, does THAT mean that they're NOT pro-American?
Right, we'll hear both sides on this trash blog.
Thanks for a Sunday laugh.
"If I wanted to quality check a manufacturing lot of light bulbs to see if they work, do I need to plug in 100%?"
Your analogy misses a key component. You can't look at all of the light bulbs and tell if they work, if they're not inserted into a power source.
We can - and do - see the everyday actions of Muslims around the world.
Violence, aka- "jihad" is a central tenet of Islam.
You can, like our national security advisors, argue that not all jihadi "struggles" are "violent"... but Clio (History herself) would laugh at you, as violence is the "means" that the Prophet used to achieve his great victories.
Yet violence is not the definition of Jihad. Not that the two cannot intersect.
We can - and do - see the everyday actions of Muslims around the world.
Indeed. And what is the world "witnessing" regarding the answer to the question of Islamic violence this week?
The light bulb was plugged into a powered socket this week. In every Islamic country I'm aware of, it "went on".
from Australia...
THE convicted crook behind an anti-Islamic film that triggered riots through the Arab world was taken in for questioning by US cops yesterday — as violence spread to Australia.
Egyptian-born Nakoula Basseley Nakoula hid behind a hat, scarf and sunglasses when sheriff’s officers drove him from his home in Los Angeles to a nearby police station.
Fraudster Nakoula, a 55-year-old Christian, was suspected of breaching bail conditions by helping produce the vile movie which has led to at least 14 deaths in protests. Six cops were hurt yesterday as more than 200 demonstrators clashed with police outside the US consulate in Sydney. Officers used pepper spray and dogs as they faced a barrage of missiles from the mob chanting: “Obama, Obama, we love Osama.”

So much for the Georeg W(orst President Ever) Bush Doctrine of the REverse-Domino theory. I guess trying to foist democracy in a land unprepared for it wasn't a good expenditure of $12 TRILLION DOLLARS or 6000 American Lives.
Thank Goodness we finally have a real conservative running for office who is deathly afraid of War having chicken hawked out of Vietnam and stated of his 5 sons cowardice, "One of the ways my sons are showing support for the nation is helping me get elected. Because they think I'd make a great President." - Mitt Romney (in 2008) on why his 5 sons are too valuable to risk serving in the "Military".
And we witnessed a infinitesimal fraction of the Muslim world. That is not to downplay what happened, but it is to refute charges that all Muslim resort to violence.
If you wish to rely on such sampling, then it would be appropriate to consider all American Christians in like mind as the Westboro Baptist Church, merely laying in wait to be incited.
Granted it was a self-selected sample (not random)... but how many "extremists" live in Sydney? There are about 160,000 Muslims in Sydney (4% of 4 million). Rioting Demonstrators (200) represent 1/8th of 1%. To be convinced, would all of them have to spontaneously "turn out"?
...and I know of no Westboro Baptists who have ever "rioted" and performed violence ANYWHERE.
I didn't state that WBC engaged in violence. I used them as a sampling analogy that would be as appropriate as someone making the statements that have been made here.....based on unscientific and vague sampling.
Picketing is NOT violence.
I picked Sydney because if there were ANY place in the world where VIOLENT clashes with police would NOT be expected, Sydney would likely be just such a place.
Does this mean that there is only one or two "extremist" Imam's in Sydney? Maybe. But given the "nature" of the offense, what would it take for a "larger" crowd to turn out? How many would turn out if the "perpetrator" of the offense were from Sydney, and not 10,000 miles away?
Whose spirit with divine ambition puff'd
Makes mouths at the invisible event,
Exposing what is mortal and unsure
To all that fortune, death and danger dare,
Even for an egg-shell. Rightly to be great
Is not to stir without great argument,
But greatly to find quarrel in a straw
When honour's at the stake. How stand I then,
That have a father kill'd, a mother stain'd,
Excitements of my reason and my blood,
And let all sleep? while, to my shame, I see
The imminent death of twenty thousand men,
That, for a fantasy and trick of fame,
Go to their graves like beds, fight for a plot
Whereon the numbers cannot try the cause,
Which is not tomb enough and continent
To hide the slain? O, from this time forth,
My thoughts be bloody, or be nothing worth!
Shakespeare, Hamlet (Act IV, Sc IV)
btw - Any of you libbies think that a "movie" provoked this attack...
On June 6, an IED was thrown at the perimeter of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. On June 11, the British ambassador's motorcade came under attack by a rocket-propelled grenade, or RPG. Two security personnel were injured. Seven days later, on June 18, armed gunmen attacked the Tunisian consulate and burned its flag. And on Aug. 5, five weeks before the assault on the U.S. Consulate, the International Committee of the Red Cross building in Benghazi was also struck by RPGs.

You cons are the ones who want endless wars with an endless military industrial complex. You made this mess between us and them. So go $#@! yourselves.
JMJ
Democrats didn't vote to invade Iraq? Who knew?
...and who knew that we attacked Islam on 9/11.
Oh wait, don't tell me, some Youtube video back in September of 2001 provoked Osama bin Laden into launching an attack...
The Israeli's musta denigrated the prophet back in the day, cuz ever since the Munich Olympics, the Brotherhood has been REALLY p*ssed off at THEM!
This one's for you, JMJ.
Once a Ahole always an Ahole
Attention all non-violent Muslims, your religion does NOT repeat, does NOT sanction violence... UNLESS, of course, you diss us.
An Iranian foundation has reportedly increased a bounty for the death of Salman Rushdie, saying that if the British writer had previously been killed for blasphemy an anti-Islam film currently enraging Muslims would never have been made.
Iranian media quoted Hassan Sane'i, a cleric heading the 15 of Khordad Foundation, as saying in a statement that he was "adding another $US500,000 ($474,000) to the reward for killing Rushdie." (AFP)
Late to the party. More power outages.
"They want Islam? Then we need to stand back and allow their conquering heroes to give it to them good and hard."
I agree; but the problem, of course, is they are satisfied to stay in their own countries. They want to export their culture to the rest of the world. We can see what is happening in Spain, France and England and other European countries where they multiply like the sewer rats that they are. They demand that they be able to apply sharia law and they demand that everyone tolerate their culture while they tolerate no other culture. The same thing is beginning in the US in places like Dearborn, Michigan. The Saudis have their text books in the Muslim schools here, which teach hatred of America and we sit by and do nothing.
I'm sick of hearing that the vast majority of Muslims are moderates and wish no ill on America. that is true. I have known more than a few over the years.; good people, nice families, and good neighbors. The problem with these moderate Muslims is that the first time a radical rabid Iman puts the arm on them to help with some plan they have; be it contributing money to some faux charity or storing some materials in their garage or finding a job for one of their operatives, They will do it. And, I don't care if they do it out of fear for themselves or their family or they do it because at their core they are Muslims and will do what the Koran dictates.
America needs to stop all immigration to this country of those people and they need to keep an eye on the ones that are already here. If that is called racial profiling; so be it!
@JMJ
Let me guess, you're an ardent supporter of Barack Hussein Obama, right? A Democrat?
I understand your anger.
Can't wait to see the 180 degree reversal on this site when Bibi Netanyahu orders President Romney to attack and invade Iran.
Then, of course, war and involvement in the Region will be crucial and the lives lost will be necessary for Freedom.
I do not believe ground combat in Iran is logistically feasible. I do not believe anyone is even considering such an event. Nice try, though.
FJ's comment of 9/16/12 9:41 AM is spot on:
Egypt is radicalizing... and becoming a theocracy, like Iran in 79. This is the Sunni counter to the Iranian Shi'a. They're in a pissing contest for the title of "holier than thou" most deserving of running the caiiphate. Count on it.
And Obama full well knows the same too.
@ Jersey: You made this mess between us and them. So go $#@! yourselves.
Ever hear of a president named Carter?
EREISSARBDRATSABHOHCTIBOHTRAFHOTITHOTNUCHOWERCSHOKCUFHOKCUSHOSSIPHOTIHSHOTSIRHCHO
Plenty of blame to go around for Presidents of both parties for the last thirty odd years. The entire rationale of terrorist acts is that they are high profile/low risk provocations. Responding in the "tempered and proportionate" fashion which was urged on us in every instance simply perpetuates the problem. We instill anger, but not fear, making repetition inevitable since they learn nothing from it.
CI...and wouldn't it be wonderful if millions of muslims would speak out against their extremists' actions as so many Christians have immediately come out against the Westboro clan (who, by the way, do NOT represent Christian scripture, but Islamic terrorists DO)....
One must only research the life of Mohammad and the history of Islam in its earliest stages to truly understand the broader war we are in today. The Siege of Vienna (1683) and Tours (732) would be a good place to start. Muslims are the most backward and savage people on the planet, not because intolerant, insensitive conservatives say so. Their actions are plain as day. And progressive liberals who consistently defend the actions of Islamic barbarians need to get their head out of the sand.
@Z - Absolutely. It would also be wonderful if Islam would transit through the same sort of evolution that Christianity did.
I couldn't agree more. It's bloody time to pull out all the troops and let these nations have their religion of Islam and to live under the tyranny they have chosen. If they don't want, then FIGHT BACK!
America and our allies have already sacrificed enough lives to these ungrateful nations and people. I feel for the innocent thrown in the middle, but we are done, let the battle be in their hands.
One more thing, CUT THE FUNDING NOW!!
We should pack up, vacate the region taking all our aid with us, and let the countries boil in thier own stew pot.
Time to give them exactly what they deserve.
Leticia, and the rest of you who want to cut "cut the funding" to these regimes you don't like, ASK THAT SILLY TEA PARTY CONGRESS YOU GENIUSES PUT IN POWER. They control the purse strings. Oh, and guess what? They won't do it. They're not smart enough to pull it off and make it positively work.
JMJ
Oh, and Thersites, you asked "Democrats didn't vote to invade Iraq?" Yes, they did. they were political cowards. How exactly does the vote of political cowards make you feel comfortable with stupid congressional votes?
What short memories you cons have.
JMJ
The problem is, it isn't an infinitesimal fraction. Sure it isn't a majority, but we've probably killed more radicals this month than there are members of Westboro.
Depending on your definition of radical, given poll responses to questions such as 9/11 being justified, support of suicide bombings, and the imposition of sharia law by force, the numbers range anywhere from 7-36%
That is somewhere between 84-439 Million radicals.
Hell, even if you call it 1% that is 12 million.
Yeah... infinitesimal.
Finntann: "That is somewhere between 84-439 Million radicals."
Anyone ever see a spontaneous mass demonstration against the Islamists? The rest merely look the other way.
How exactly does the vote of political cowards make you feel comfortable with stupid congressional votes?
Either you back up your words with deeds, or you don't. You either take responsibility for saying them and acting differently, or you don't. You either regret acting differently than you spoke, or you don't.
I suppose, JMJ, that you "don't." Sounds like you are the one with the character problem, not me.
